I also used to routinely pack a whole days worth of foods in bento--breakfast, lunch, and dinner--so that's completely workable.
As for grazing, I found that my anticipation for my bento box was able to keep me from grazing too much, but you could pack a box to leave in the fridge of grazing foods so you don't have to think about it when you get home and also so that it looks pretty, which encourages me to eat that instead of my partner's potato crisps.
