Isn't it good to know now that you can easily regroup and it isn't really all that bad in the end. I like knowing my body better and knowing I can get it together and move forward if I do let go for a weekend.

Oh Gardenchick, you are funny!!! I had a weekend where I thought"ok, get it together!!" I had a great long run on Sunday and did lots of walking on Saturday. I even watched what I ate Monday straight through Friday.....then Saturday happened:( I just could'nt seem to stop myself from sampling everything around me)Sunday I seem to get a hold of myself, but just barely!!! I havn't weighed myself as yet but I'm sure I still got my extra 3lbs with me.
Thank God for Mondays....I feel like I'm back on track.

Yay! I found a couple of them, lol. I am holding water like a water tight battleship right now. Blech. I am in the week before the TOM so I am up my usual pound and it is hotter than heck again. I also did enjoy my eating this weekend and took sautrday off completely. It is the only run I have missed with the exception of an injury. It was strange, but nice. I did well with taking all my veggies and healthier snacks. I did eat a few brownies, but only had a bit of 1 rice crispy treat and only sort of abused the animal cookies. It was pretty nice to be honest.

Back on track already though. Did the ellitpical for an hour last night and for 11 min today to finish out my hour of ST. Back on with food too so I feel pretty good about myself right now.

to quote the commercial- Fit does have a feeling and it is GOOD!

I have to say that I appreciate your attitude about the 4 pounds and it'll be gone this week. I think that kind of positive thinking is soooo important while we're on this track.

:D Yup, it'll be gone. I know it will be. :D

I'm not adding the four back on my ticker, either, because I'll just have to change it again next week, and I'm lazy. LOL!

Oh my. I have a feeling this weekend of camping is gonna be a toughie for me. On top of it I did a 20k Wednesday and ate for that on the day before and of. Yikes! I have my cereal packed as well as healthy snacks and salads. We will be at the campground most of the day with hubby racing bmx on site so fast food wont be a temptation. The animal cookies, rice crispy treats and brownies will be though. Oh well. I am equipped to take off any gain I suppose.

It seems to me that summer has been one vacation after another, with holiday celebrations in between! It started with Graduation and the parties, then my birtday, then a wedding, then another birthday, then a vacation, etc. etc. GAWD.

So I've been slowly but surely creeping back up despite all of my good intentions to work out extra and eat all of the fresh, seasonal foods. I've kind of been putting on five, taking off four, putting on another five, taking off another four, etc. Now I'm back up to 133 pounds and I refuse to adjust my ticker because I am GOING to get back down there by the end of July.

I have gone back into weight loss mode, rather than maintanence where I was. I didn't get to stay in maintanence for very long AT ALL because of the church picnics, the BBQs, the bakes sales, the circus that came to town last weekend, the catered French party on Saturday...the hangover...

And I thought that the CHRISTMAS season was the "holidays!"

If something didnít turn out just right, I moved around it and adapted. I didnít let one step back stop me from moving forward."

Hi All,

What a coincidence to find this thread. I was going to start one about my current "struggles" which started last weekend visiting in BC with family (they ordered out fish and chips of all things... argh).
I was up 4.5, now just 2, but man, what a struggle.

I have to say that I appreciate your attitude about the 4 pounds and it'll be gone this week. I think that kind of positive thinking is soooo important while we're on this track.

I'm home next week but then off for 3 weeks. We will be canoeing, etc, but I still tend to overdo it on holiday. Really hoping to do OK and not expecting much more than that.

Anyway, that's what I wanted to say and figured I'd just jump on this thread, since it seems to be on the same track.

Cheers!
:-)

Hey Denise, I did not set my ticker up as yet as the scale is down 1 pound this week. Thank God!!

It's great that we know how to lose it, but for me it meant having to go back into diet mode, just when I was getting use to "the land of the living". Did you re-start tracking your food again regularly/daily, and resetting your daily cals. to lose? I did!!
Isn't it amazing how aware we are of small gains now that we've come this far in our journey to good health? You guys are awesome!!! Good luck!!

Oh, I can so relate..I have gained 3 pounds over the past 3 weeks...we also had a family reunion last weekend. I thought summer would be easier with the fresh fruit and veggies but the parties, vacation and traveling are challenging. The difference is that I now know how to take it off so I am back at it. I just feel like if I get above my range it will be harder to get back down into it. Good luck ladies..we can do it!

...and I only gained four, which is still within my normal fluctuation range! Gimme a week, and it'll be gone. Woo! :D

I knew I would be eating a lot more than usual, just because the snacks are too easily at hand, especially at the family reunion. I brought my own breakfast (yogurt, Kashi GoLean Crunch), and tried to eat sensibly when we went out (Subway one day, Arby's MarketFresh sandwich another... though I had fried chicken yesterday on the way home). We also made an effort to be active... walking 3 miles one day in Allentown, hiking three miles another day at Hawk Mountain. I think that really helped!

If I can survive that, I can survive anything! LOL!
