Day off today. Didn't get much done but enjoyed a much needed day with a dear friend. Didn't need all the extra chips at Chili's, but other than that ate healthy (chicken fajitas no cheese, no butter, no sour cream, side salad with salsa for dressing) Could have been worse. We'll see how things go tomorrow on the scale.

Another busy day at work. At least today we were fully staffed. Not so for the rest of the week as one coworker is off remodeling her bathroom. The nerve! emoticon

Poor Maree, no houseboat on the holiday weekend--that's tragic. I hope there's no damage from the flooding. I doubt we'll get out in our boat either, since Project Moving Mom will likely take the whole weekend.

I made one of my favorite recipes for dinner. It's labor intensive, so I'd roasted the squash last weekend. Since it serves 8 I split it into 2 dishes and freeze half. I've also got lunches for the rest of the week. It's a cross between this: http://veganrahrah.wordpress.com/2012/10/1

Doing a 50/2 weekly eating plan from La Puma's "Refuel". Two days a week eating about 50 gm carb, rest of week 150-200. Results in a sort of weight fluctuation, up and down a couple pounds. But over time flat to some loss. This I can live with.

Half the year is out and i am still trying to figure out how to get rid of those last extra 10lbs. I have been letting stress get to me. I have been eating poorly. I need more produce in my diet. And i need to cook again.

Happy Tuesday! Can't believe that it's July!

Made it to court, did a lot of pacing while waiting, but no formal exercise this morning. May do a walk this afternoon or some weights. Weight was good. Just trying to make it through until I can cut out a bit early, since I've been "working" since 6:45 this morning. Run scheduled for tomorrow morning, if the tropical weather doesn't foil us.

Leaving for first day of summer school work in 15 minutes. Quick check in first. It's supposed to be in the high 90's today, so I got my workout in before 6:30 this morning. Will be too hot to be motivated tonight! Enjoyed the special foods for my hubby's birthday yesterday, but must eat clean today. Have a great first of July, Team!

Mornin Sunshines! Wicked storm here in the Chicago area last night. I hope everyone else in the area is okay. Our heavy patio chairs and grill were knocked around.Sorry to hear you are flooded out Maree!

Very busy day yesterday, didn't get near my step goal. At 9:00 I started doing jumping jacks in between arm strength exercises for 10 minutes.

Hoping to have time tonight for a Fitness Blender workout.

What a bummer Maree that the marina is flooded for your holiday weekend. Today is a service day for me with giving blood this am, making blueberry pie filling, working in the family history center and a Lions Club meeting this evening. The thing i'm most nervous about is my Leader Dog Puppy has her assessment evaluation at 3pm today and that will leave me a month to work on the things she doesn't do well in before her final test. Since this is the first puppy I have raised i'm worried I haven't done enough to train her. She has her good days and bad days so I hope this is a good one. Have a great day all

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Good morning!

Monday went about as well as expected; it's the hardest day for me to meet any of my goals. Tuesdays tend to be a bit easier. I admit I'm putting off studying for my quiz this morning by messing about on SP. :(

I hope it doesn't rain this afternoon, our neurology teacher gives us a half hour break and that's when I usually take my walks. Walking around school just doesn't have the same sort of oomf.

Well, I need to stop putting this off. At least I put my flashcards on an app so I can pace while I study. :P

Your happiness is up to you. Whatever happened in your life to make you who you are up until the point you realize this is irrelevant. It is your responsibility now to take control and change your life to be what you want it to be.

Did anyone else read the Weekly Spark article about summertime calorie traps? Eeee-yow! One of the "salads" exceeds my maintenance allowances for the whole day. Except that this contains at least a vegetable or two, you could just as well have a big old slice of mocha-fudge-pudding cake and save yourself some calories and fat grams.

Applebee's Oriental Chicken Salad with Oriental Vinaigrette: 1,390 calories, 98 grams of fat

I'm off this morning to my first Jazzercise class. I hope it's as much fun as I remember from years ago.

Hoping this new tropical storm does not wash out our plans for a huge family BBQ at my mom's house in CT this weekend. Really looking forward to seeing my family.

Hitting the gym for some ST this morning. Water weight is down today, but still need to get below my goal weight again. Maybe tomorrow. Water mantra again! LOL! Have a nice 1st of July everyone.

good morning! spending time in the city (seattle) before our trip to sweden tomorrow - lots of errands, loose ends. the good part is never being around a kitchen to snack, and loads of opportunities to walk - still managed to get in 15,000 steps. restaurant meals, but made good choices. today we'll run in the morning, then finish off the errands.

Calories are in a good range, and I walked my minimal 3+ miles - so on board for hitting my monthly 100 miles already.

Didn't do much today, just around the hotel stuff. Sometimes we just research what we want to do and where we can go. Especially after an 11,800+ step day. With this persistent foot fungus.

July 1. On the downhill slope of 2014. emoticon

I closed out the books yesterday and feel somewhat triumphant about it. There's still plenty of scrambling to do between now and July 16 when I report to my board, but what's done now is done and I don't have to think about it any more. I came home exhausted (though I did 35 hard minutes on the bike) and ate all over the kitchen. for the first time I really KNEW the truth of the rule "When you're overtired you overeat". It would be the night before my official weigh-in - but considering all the circumstances - I will be okay if the scale is not my friend.

Like you, DC I'm thinking of how very far I've come and I'm proud of it. I'm comfortable in my skin ... ALL of it. emoticon

Maree - I'm so sorry you won't be able to play on the boat this holiday weekend. I hope you can make alternate plans that end up being just as good.

Not sure what the outcome will be with the possibility of the tropical storm coming this way but I plan on a relaxing, laid back weekend regardless. It would be nice to head to the mountains as planned on the 4th. If it works out great if not we'll make the best of it. Sorry to hear that the weather will impact so many and possibly have a negative effect on their holiday plans. Be happy regardless.

Berry picking time --- At least I think so. Will be having a look in a bit to see what is ready to pick. Will also be doing some work in the garden that is not doing so good this year. Will pull and re-plant from seed in the areas not doing so well. May see what Walmart has later today for plants to jump start the replanting process

Off to work out soon. Maintenance is still a struggle. Or maybe not. It may be that this is where my body is most comfortable and where it needs to be and that is why I can not get the scale to go back down. Very possible reality. Some adjustments might need to be made in the thinking process of goals and the such. Especially how one thinks of themselves when they do step on and the pounds have not come off. We sometimes forget where we came from and the great progress we have made. Big pat on the back for me and to all those out there as well.

Keep going and keep working it. I know I feel good, I am much healthier, and I look good. Body fat percentage has been the same through the winter and the same as of today. That in itself is a good sign.

Diligence and hard work. That's what it is all about.

Good morning!

I slept from 7 pm to 4 am. And still feel like I'm in a fog. A most exhausting day yesterday! It will be 10 days before I receive outcome at work.

Our marina sent out the bad news that we will be flooded out for the holiday weekend. I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am ...

To the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min Crossfit class. A walk at lunch.
