Thanks, Roloha, for checking on us.

I track every day, but often don't get to the message boards until there's a lull at work. I also skipped a couple of weeks--my father died in March and my large family was together during that time. When I got back home and stepped on the scale, I was quite pleased to see that my weight was right where I want it to be.

Sorry to be so boring, but I'm happy with the way things are going right now.

I am doing well with the training - you can see some pics on my spark page. I really think I have achieved a lot and probably will not continue with the MAX-OT program. I have a Total Gym at home and it give excellent results really, so I am thinking of going back to that, although my husband and I have been going to the gym together, which is great too! He is a fitness lifter and so he is a great help to me! I'll be around and about!

Noblisse Oblige...thank you Roloha for the thoughtful SparkMail.
Being at a couple of pounds above goal should be something to take in stride but it sort of has kept me from posting here. I am doing all the healthy stuff and those extra pounds are so not budging.
A friend has given me some fresh tips on proper food combining so perhaps a happy results will happen soon.
Anyway I am still here and still persevering and being happily healthy.
I am off to check on how everyone else is doing.
Thanks again!

I'm glad you checked back in. I was wondering where you'd gone. ;) Sorry you got hurt... I guess it would be pretty easy to strain a muscle with the heavier weights. How is training going otherwise?

Hi All - I have been "away" from here for a bit too - been posting on the Getting Buffed team that I belong to since I have been working on a body building program for a while. Got hurt a few times with heavy weights, so I am scaling back a bit for now. Good to see that you all are well!

Kit, what a great way to get the kids to help out! Very creative (and devious LOL). I'll have to remember that next time we paint....

The neighborhoods sounds awesome and it is great that you'll get your son into a great school that match his needs.

Thanks, guys!

It's a lovely older home in a nice part of town - the kind of revitalized older community where people walk in the evenings and have block parties. And it's one level - no stairs! I'll have to increase my weekly exercise when I no longer walk up and down stairs 30 times a day.

Of course, the reason we're doing all this is that they have a great school system for autistic kiddos. I've checked out this school every way I know how, and it seems solid.

On the downside, one bedroom is the color of guacamole, another a nice purply-pink - and the master bedroom is too small to contain our furniture. We need to blow out the back wall and add some square feet, and a proper bathroom. Adults in the early 50s must have been very small, had no clothes, and spent little time in the bathroom.

Yep, we're doing lots of little projects around the (current) house while trying to find a contractor. I just had my kiddo and two neighborhood friends play a game I invented - they each got a different color of post-it tags. I sent them around the house to hunt for smudges on walls, scratches on floors, and any other problems. It was a contest. They all got brownies, but the winner got a dollar. As a result, my house looks like we've had a confetti party! And the kids have concluded, once again, that I am the craziest mom in the neighborhood.

Ah, well. Back to touching up paint. I'll check back in!

Hi Kit
I'm glad you found your way back! Congrats on finding the new place and good luck with the sale ...my advice, stage it as they recommend on the TV show "Sell This House." Or buy a book about how to do it if you aren't familiar....then price it to sell and it will happen quickly even in a slow market as mine did. You've got your work cut out for you for the coming months..it will be a test of all you've learned!!You can come in here and de stress anytime you need to.

I was wondering where you went! How exciting that you found the house. Are extensive changes needed or relatively small? I'm surprised that helping them move didn't make you want to back out of moving again yourself. It always does me! ;)

Hi, everyone!

I've been super-busy with appointments, and we spent spring "break" finding and buying our next house. Now, to find a contractor...and get the changes made... and then get our current house sold - several of you know this song and dance. Oh, and we helped my in-laws during the fatal last stages of their moves to their smaller, one-level retirement house. That was good exercise, at least that day.

Anyway, I'm glad that I didn't gain anything during the nearly two weeks when I didn't track food. (The stress level probably burned the extra calories off!) OTOH, not checking in meant I missed all of you, and got off my exercise routine. So, I'm back.

I'll need to devote an entire evening to catching up on posts. Just wanted to say hi!
