Bess, since he wants to see the Christmas tree when he comes home, I think you should put a bow on his head, because him home and healing is the best Christmas present your family could have. I didn't track yesterday because the whole day was taken up with picking up my new car. I got a Prius C, because the driving I do is perfect for a hybrid. It's bright red so looks a lot sportier than it is! I only ate about a third of my breakfast because I was excited, no lunch and leftover pizza for dinner. Time to head to church!

Good morning! Wow, Bess, what a scary experience. So glad to hear your husband is coming home! Thank God. I hope everyone has a great Sunday! Heading down to the basement to do a home workout before church today. God bless!
Thank you one and all my dear maintainer friends. Your support is so welcome. In fact - I knew it would be - LOL - greedy me - I knew I'd be posting here about my darling Himself and I knew you'd rally 'round - and knowing it was going to happen was one of the things I held on to.
Our son and new daughter are here now - got in around 1 o'clock - and will be here till he's home. There is a lot of love to cushion his homecoming. And he told me yesterday - I want a tree up when I get home. Cute. Also - walking around the hospital is great exercise, as I grope my way down unfamiliar corridors and around strange bends.
I did gobble up two bowls of ice cream last night - but they are 1/2 cup sized bowls so the damage was minimal and weight is stable. Good things - a world of good things.
and DC - I want to second your wish for all those who serve both at home and abroad - May you have a safe holiday, may you return home knowing how grateful I am for your sacrifice.
Bess - Ditto what Maree said. All the best to you . Please keep us posted and know you are in our thoughts.
While we are thinking of others -- let's remember to thank all those who are serving and are securing our freedom and safety. Those not able to spend the holiday with those near and dear while they are protecting and securing this great country. ----- I for one THANK YOU ALL! And wish you all a very Merry Christmas.
Great Sunday here in central VA. Suppose to top out in the low 70's today.. Gotta love it.

Bess, my heart goes out to you. My goodness! I hope you can feel this hug across the miles and prayers for continued progress, skilled medical providers and speedy recovery for your husband. And all the support you need.
Same for all others with loved I ones who are ill or who are facing other challenges!
Logould, I think that's a great plan, to have a trainer for a while. I had foot surgery about 10 yes ago--wish I wouldn't have let him put a pin in my second toe as it no longer will bend. But I have running friends who have fully recovered to run better than ever! Sounds like your approach has been very diliberate and calculated. Sincerely hope it goes well!
Rain and visiting today, maybe church. Ice has covered all the trees and the snow washed away. Maybe a walk.
Hope it's a good day for all. Special wishes for you, Bess.
