I tried Jiggle Free Abs on Netflix a couple months ago to make sure I liked it before I bought it. It's about a 30 min workout with Allie. If I recall there's a nice section of standing ab work which is a nice break from the classic floor ab work. Of course, there's a floor section too, but it was a good mix that kept it from getting too repetitive. I'll probably only use it in my rotation once a week, so I'm not sure how long it will take to make a noticeable difference.

Let me know how jiggle free abs is. There are a ton of DVDs I'd like to get but want to go through a couple months of the TransFIRMer rotations.

I have to say it must have been the whole system. I had been using Kathy Smith's circuit training, pilates, and yoga DVDs since September and while I got pretty toned, I didn't get the definition I got with just about a month of the Firm. Of course, another thing to consider is the fact that I am about 5 lbs less than what I thought was going to be my goal weight and there is definitely less fat on my stomach than ever before. I still like to think it is the Firm that gave me all the definition.

Janeway,
A six pack! That's awesome. I have a ways to go til I get to that point. I'm still trying to work off the flab that's left from my pregnancy. It's getting better all the time though. The other dvd I ordered was Jiggle Free Abs. (Yeah, I went on a bit of a workout video shopping spree. I'd been using basically the same three dvds since October.) Anyway, maybe JFA will work me closer to a six pack! Are there any specific Firm dvds that helped you target that area, or do you think its just using the whole system that helped?

Thanks for the welcome, ladies.

Sarah- The results with the Firm dvds has been terrific. I had been doing Kathy Smith videos for decades and thought they were pretty great. What I love about these new ones is there is no time to think! Once you start, there is no down time and before you know it, you're done.

I also ordered the Bootcamp dvd and am looking forward to trying it.

I'm actually developing a '6-pack'! Never knew I had many defined muscles in the stomach area. Amazing.

Welcome Janeway! I discovered the Firm workouts in the fall and am really happy with the results I've been getting. I feel so much stronger for my everyday tasks (which include regularly lifting and carrying my almost 30 lb son). Plus the toning is definitely noticeable (at least to me)! :o) Last night I ordered Ultimate Fat Burning Workout and Bootcamp Maximum Calorie Burn. I tried them out through Netflix first and really liked them. Can't wait to start using them on a regular basis!

Hi everyone. I'm new to the group, as well. After my dad died of a heart attack last July at the young age of 68, I decided to take total charge of my health by throwing out bad eating habits and incorporating exercise into my daily life. I plan on being around to see my own grandchildren and maybe great-grandchildren.

I've become a vegetarian and love cooking healthy meals for my family. I am an outdoors fanatic and love backpacking, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, sailing, and swimming. I also recently 'discovered' The Firm workouts and am loving those!

I am completely dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and helping my entire family do so, as well. I have spurred people on to get mammograms, colonoscopies, yearly check-ups, eat well and exercise. My new habits have changed my life and I'm hoping to help my friends and family change for the better. Without being too pushy, of course.

I'm glad to be on this team. It's so nice to finally feel healthy and strong again. I'll never go back to the way I was.

Welcome Linda! My goodness, it sounds like you have had a heck of a time lately with your illness. But you have a positive attitude and you have US to help you along! This is an awesome team (I just reached goal weight myself about a week ago) and very very supportive. I wish the best of luck with your weight maintenance and fitness goals!

Hugs,
Lori

PARAVEN - Thank you. Maybe I should have specific when I mentioned needing to work on my fitness...I need to RESUME my fitness routine. I had a nice thing going when my doctor asked me to quit in order to conserve calories. They had to temporarily limit me to 300 calories per day so did not want me to burn any calories other than normal daily activity. I will now have to rebuild to my fitness routine (treadmill 6 days & strength training 3-4 days) very slowly. I'm just waiting on them to give me to okay to begin. Thanks again!!

I've been at my goal weight a few weeks but only recently learned about this team. I'll TRY to make this intro brief!

I'm 47 for one more month. I've been married for 29 years and have kids 21, 20, 18 & 16. I've been the infamous yo-yo most of my adult life. A large amount of my weight loss THIS TIME has been due to some rigid dietary restrictions due to an illness. (7-9 grams of fat, 600-800 calories plus supplements as prescribed by physicians)

I have reached and surpassed my goal. I've been given a weight range by my doctors which is very low by most standards (103-110). Because of my medical condition, it helps to maintain a low weight. I am monitored weekly with a massive amount of bloodwork and exams by my hemotologist and gastroenterologist. Other specialists are consulted as needed.

It feels good to achieve a goal. I am ready to work at fitness now and hope to be able to do some firming up. I've had a good week and will possibly get clearance to begin exercise at my appointment tomorrow (Monday).

Thanks for reading what ending up being a longer than intended post. But, trust me, it could have been much longer!!!
