Have been doing well for the day. Ate well and took a 80 minute walk my foot is still sore from the tumble I took last week. It is better but still hurts if I walk fast. So I went the distance I usually do in 70 min but today I did 80. Still a good walk. Weight is at 154.4 a little above goal weight

Ah! Those holiday parties are killer! I have one tomorrow night and another one on Tuesday night. I need to stay strong after an indulgent weekend. Still at goal and hoping to get below goal again by Friday. Must stay strong!

I did not get to a workout in this weekend but I did finish my decorating, got a tree with the girls and decorated the tree. DH has the flu so he has been a permanent fixture on the couch since Friday morning. So far, the rest of us have not been infected.

Have a good day!

Hope everyone is weathering the cold, snow and storms. Yesterday was downright FRIGID here, but I set a PR nonetheless. Not for speed, but for the most clothes I have ever run in and the coldest temps BY FAR! It was 7 degrees when we started and 10 when we finished. Worked after that and then up early to do lighting at church from 7-1. After church, went to the gym with a friend to get her through W2D3 of C25K and have to venture out for dog food shortly. Going to get some decorating done when I get back and get ready for work coming up this next week. Everyone have a lovely week.

Still harboring a cold. Yesterday was sluggish, didn't eat well, last night sleep was fitful. Not sure whether it was night sweats or just the effectiveness of two down comforters, but I was too hot and then too cold in turns all night.

A slow start to my morning, but it's cold out and we are waiting for it warm up a bit before heading out the door with the dogs. It's hard to get warm when walking an old slow dog that likes to sniff everything in site! The border collie gets to go free for a bit on the logging road, to get a bit more running. It's hard when our animals get old and start to slow down. I hate leaving the older one behind at times as he sure kicks up a fuss..

I'll be glad when the cold breaks as getting up in the middle of the night to stoke the fire is breaking up my sleep patterns.

Have a good day folks and stay warm and dry with all the storms many of you have mentioned.

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU emoticon
for all those who wished me well on reaching my ONE YEAR of MAINTENANCE!!!! I am almost (maybe more) as excited as when I got my first smaller size jeans! I have NEVER maintained before, but here I am a year on the other side of my goal. I have lots and lots of clothes (thanks to my smaller friends and shopping). Pretty close to heaven in the body size and clothes department!!! Hubby is happier too--now that is an accomplishment! ha! ha!

It's dreadfully cold and wintery in Indiana! My car heater went out and I am slightly emoticon distraught about that--I had to cancel my appointments yesterday but got to stay home and cook and clean and not have to go anywhere. emoticon

I love a clean house and my hubby loves pumpkin pie and blackberry cobbler. (Yes, it can be a little unnerving to make up the goodies but I've learned to cook healthier recipes, taste moderately, and happily hand it over to my husband to eat for the next week).

Today, I shall REST!!!!! (. . . maybe) Thanks again team for just 'being here'. emoticon

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Good morning everybody! Three Christmas-related parties yesterday, all involving food! I tried to exercise moderation at each one (didn't eat anything at the second one because I really was still full from the first one!) but up two pounds today. No big deal. I went to Spin at 8AM today and I'll just be more vigilant today. Just had one small slice of cheesecake instead of sampling ALL the desserts there last night!
Have a wonderful day with your families!

Back from vacation and didn't gain an ounce!!! YIPPEE!! But now waiting for the storm, which will cut my walking. Also, I can't walk as much here in general because of hand ice all winter. Would love to be back in Florida where it's warm and flat. Oh, well, I'll stick with the program, no matter what! Stay safe in this bad weather, Folks!

Hoping you all weather your storms okay. Makes me glad to live in central Florida, although there are times we have different weather challenges here.

Yesterday morning I got in a great 7 mile outdoor run with my running group . It was in the 60's at 6am when we ran, but humidity was over 90% and my glasses kept fogging. Attended the Christmas dinner party of Lakeland Runners Club last night. This morning I'm still in my maintenance range, but near the top, 3.4 pounds over my favorite weight, 1.9 over my center weight for the current bird day challenge. I'm thinking at least a pound and a half is sodium. Lots of water today, veggies, and good eating today.

Two Christmas parties down and one to go! Have a healthy, happy day, Maintainers!!!

Waiting for the storm with DC, Toni, and Bess. I hear there is snow nearby, but not at my house yet. Also hoping the forecast is pessimistic when it comes to the freezing rain and ice. In the meantime, I'm getting two weeks worth of laundry done (since we were away last weekend) in case the power goes out. Ugh, the radio just announced that where I live could go straight to freezing rain and skip the snow.

Maree, glad to see you got some really good sleep!

Had a good time last night with one of my volksmarching clubs, as we had our annual Christmas dinner at a local German restaurant.

Toni, that is great about your phone call. Seems so little of that is done these days! You are a great friend.

I had a wonderful time with my cousins last night at the annual cousin Christmas party. We had a LOT of laughs. I ate just a little of everything so as to enjoy myself but be mindful. Only up half a pound today from yesterday, normally, I'd be up three pounds after this party.

I blogged about being mindful so I imagined all of my spark friends around me and kept to it! I post, therefore I do!

Even though I took the dog out at 12:30 am when I got home, she still felt the need to wake me at 5:15. REALLY??! Ugh

Enjoying the dark, quiet house, my coffee and my spark friends. Have a beautiful, warm, snuggly Sunday!

Good morning!
Wow a full 8 hrs of solid sleep! It must have been the cornbread. Lol

Our bright sunshiney day yesterday yields to chance of snow and clouds today. Because it affects my mood, I'm planning some activities to keep spirits high today. Still working on that "to do" list. My muscles appreciate the time off this weekend

Hope you all have a great day!!

Ooops. Yesterday I ate too much sugar. My bad. Fortunately I stopped before things got out of hand but ... I can tell there is a foreign substance flowing through my body. Today there will be lots of green things on my plate.

I had to work yesterday so this afternoon the exercise of choice will have to be vacuuming, dusting and mopping. But after that I plan to sit down with a stack of Christmas Cards and indulge in one of my favorite holiday pastimes. Yep. I absolutely emoticon to write and send Christmas cards. It is my gift to myself - to think about each one of my beloved far away friends or family members. I am so thankful for each of them. I love it that there is this tradition that lets you indulge in friendship.

May today be a cozy snuggley day for each of you.

Good morning! Hoping that storm doesn't come our way too, DC, but no one told folks in the grocery stores. Yesterday it was a wild scene I am told. I am a "pantry" and freezer person. We could survive awhile.

Worked on holiday cards yesterday and took a break to call an old friend I hadn't talked too in over a year. Could not bear to send a card that said, "let's get in touch" and just picked up the phone. Well worth my while. We had such a great talk.

Have a good, Sunday, team mates!

Toni

Lack of sleep has me a little sluggish for the second day in a row.

However, I feel ok. just a little headache. I think the dry heat is causing the headaches.

Storm is heading this way. Still hope they are wrong. Don't think so but I can hope.

Have a great day and be safe.
