Good luck this weekend with your guests.
GOING FOR THE NEW AND FITTED ME
Spent the day cleaning the house and going up and down the stairs. Guests coming for the weekend. Working on making sure I am eating right and the maintenance weight is holding.

GOING FOR THE NEW AND FITTED ME
Fridays are usually my binge day of the week. But I allow myself this one time because my new "binge" is so NOT my old "binge!" Yes, I go over my calories for the day and yes I enjoy some treats, but I don't really binge anymore. I may gain a pound or two but it's usually gone by Monday. So off I go to "binge."
I've had a good week, but getting the winter munchies, more so now that my gastric problem has subsided. I find I'm nibbling more while cooking also.. a bad habit I know, but I'm still under goal, so can get away with a bit here and there.

Having a great Friday so far. I managed to be on track with my food intake, I have written my blog, and I look ahead for my exercise tonight.

Had a great workout on the treadmill this morning. Long walk with some incline intervals. I have really slacked at the office this week. Need to get something accomplished today. Everyone have a fabulous Friday!
I'll make it to the moon, if I have to crawl.

Good luck on the new job! Changing shifts can be hard. I'm not sure if I was on target yesterday, I ate too many chips, as expected, then got home late and my husband had got me a teriyaki chicken bowl with chow mein so that we could eat quickly before rehearsal. I had to guess. Weight up this morning, likely due to sodium. Got home late. I think I'm to the point where I'm ready to buckle down. I'm much heavier than I want to be and that's got to change!
Good Morning All, Keep up the great work! I am working at a new job. I will be working tonight and I am a little nervous. I have not worked at night for over ten years. I will be walking the dogs around the neighborhood today. Best wishes on a great day. Linda from bean town

Awesome commitment to fitness team, I feel lazy, just going to do a 3 mile walk with the dog and hubbie
I am fighting those extra treats right now, and am determined to keep the course on my weight journey, will need to focus more on the weighing and measuring of my food and TRACKING it too!!
Have a great weekend all, does someone have a suggestion for an upper body strength training workout on Spark people that you have used with success??
No plank here. But the steps are going well and still well within my weight goal range. Have a great day!
Happy Friday all!
Wow on the plank challenge. I keep looking at it and then looking away.
It will be a challenging day, going out for breakfast with my co-workers and meeting friends later for apps and a drink.
I've checked out the menu at the resturant and picked out the healthiest choice. I'll go easy on lunch and dinner.

Hi there team - sounds like everyone is getting ready to enjoy the "long" weekend - or weekend at least. Got my 10K steps yesterday and stayed within goal nutritionally. Today is a 7:30-4:30 day and then I'll get some ST in before dinner time and do some reading after and get a good night's sleep. Have to work Sat too, but then am off for a birthday "weekend" Sunday and Monday. I'll go to our local high school Monday to see the traveling Vietnam Vets memorial wall and garden of flags. Still have more raking to get done, so that's the plan for my weekend.

I weigh in once a week ONLY. Last weigh in I was 166.8lbs. My maintenance weight is no higher than 163lb, but I really feel best at 155lbs. I am down though from regaining to 185lbs.
I am doing a LOT more strength training and really being diligent to weigh, measure and record ALL foods. No licking, little tastes, spoonfuls, etc.
And this discipline is moving the scale back to where it should be.
I ran a half marathon, did GREAT at it time wise but my muscle mass is down now due to that last minute decision to run a half. I know how this works, I just thought it couldn't hurt. First couple days after my weight was over 170lbs then has settled back to 166lbs.
Last night I only got 7 hours sleep and I am a 9 hours a night gal so I feel crappy.
Good ST session yesterday. When I walked in, I told my trainer I needed a two-minute plank, because that's what day 16 of the 30-day plank challenge called for. She got down on the floor with me, and we talked during the two minutes...made it easier. Today was also two minutes, and it was much harder by myself. Nervous about tomorrow when the time ramps up to 2.5 minutes. The increases are coming very fast now, and they are large.
Today should be a running day, since I swam yesterday, but my knees ached terribly last night, so I will call it a walking day instead. I need to walk to Whole Foods, and if I go the long way, it's three miles (short way is a little over a half mile).

Here's another one who needs to do so much more upper body strength work. Yesterday's chest workout was the first time in a year and a half when I could really feel my chest muscles engaging. and it's still my shoulders and upper arms that are feeling it today. It seems that my arms have so much improvement to make that the chest muscles are only now being called on to do any real work.
the neat thing is - they are being called on and I get to develop them - so - hey - lots of progress to make up ahead. That is a plus for me! Today is my rest day though and we have an evening event for the library ... for which I must go bake cookies. this time, just one batch - so not too onerous. And then it's a sweet 3 day weekend for me.
Here's hoping all my maintaining friends just get stronger and stronger.
so is sleeping less really a part of getting older cuz my norm seems to be 5 to 5 1/2 .... woke up at 430 and couldn't go back to sleep.... so here I am
today I will be doing a WATP DVD maybe a 4 miler..... then I will be running errands and meeting a friend to go shopping.... I do need to buy some more material for the quilt I am working on for my mother n law for Christmas....
Earlier this week I was up in weight.... had a bad week last week craving chips Cheetos and chocolate.... was up 6 pounds to 147.6 this morning I am back down to 143.2 so only a couple pounds over goal.... but I was telling a GF about it and she said don't worry about it its only a "littlebit" and I told her if ididnt worry about the "little bits" they would turn into more little bits and more little bits until it was a whole lot .... she couldn't get it... oh well that's why I have lost weight and she has not I guess....

Maree, you do NOT look old enough to have a granddaughter!!!
I had a good day - big lunch, small dinner, came in with calories in my happy range. Didn't dive today, but got in a whole lot of walking.

Morning all. Happy Friday to all those ready to enjoy the upcoming weekend.
Chest day today with some cardio. My routine seems to be working ads far as maintenance goes. However, I do work really hard to stay a few pounds below goal. All in all it's worth it. I just wish I could sleep more than six hours a night. I guess that is part of getting older.
Looking forward to getting out today and enjoy the sunshine and crisp weather,
Have a great day.

Good morning mates!
It's Friday and I'm looking forward to visit by DD and granddaughter late today. DD has a holiday Monday for Veterans Day. Busy day ahead at the office after my workout this morning. 30 min elliptical and then 60 min Intensity HIIT training class. The trainer vamps it up for Friday. I need a lot of improvement in upper body strength.
Okay, gotta hit it! Hope it's a great day for all!
