Stayed off the recumbent and did no walking, today. Knees have been giving me trouble for half the week. Besides, I overdid the recumbent resistance level yesterday, and need to give my still healing back a break. But, did over an hour of static abs. Did get a lot done in my office, today.

Not a bad day, especially if my knees and back are better, tomorrow.

I ran over 9.5 miles and walked the dogs over 2 miles. I did a little yard work and some volunteering. Overall, it was a good day!

Wow! Scale went down 2.5 lbs. this morning. Must have been alot of salt from the weekend. Weighed in at my lowest in my goal range yet. Hit the gym with DD this morning and then we went to the library for some new books. It is amazing how she is learning to read on her own in just a couple of months. It is a whole new world! I am truly enjoying it.

Four days until our Disney cruise! Really have alot to do. Laundry, laundry and more laundry! Ugh! Finishing up some paperwork today so that have my loose ends tied up before vacation.

Feeling a lot better the cold is in the last stages but still feeling a little sluggish. I did get out for a short walk this morning and I plan to do an exercise video this afternoon. Gained a pound over the weekend but I am watching the calories the rest of the week.

not a good tuesday been munching kind of week weighed myself heaviest i have been since 6 pounds over goal potato chips cheetos and chocolate time to get back on track start tracking food again drink more water less coffee started day out with leslie sansone and 2 miles now on treadmill waiting for my trainer and strength training

Marcos - I found the section for weight range.. Fitness section, special concerns, articles.. Find your perfect weight part one, two, etc.. and lots of others.. Using the search box at the top of the page is the fastest way to find them.. Hope this helps.

Good Morning everyone

I've had a good week, with lots of fall yard chores and my routine exercise on top of that. My gastric problems have been gone for about a month now and it sure feels good to be able to enjoy my food once again. I hope it lasts!!

For my weight range I've always used the old scale of height and body frame size. There are lots of charts out there that explain this. I'm sure it's on spark somewhere also.

i confess i have a horrible sweet tooth and instead of always fighting the urge i now allow myself a little sweets each day. Some times its a cookie or banana bread, sometimes it a small piece of candy. I found that it really helps me from going overboard or feeling like i'm being punished. I do make my banana bread with splenda so it helps and still has a sweet taste to it. I also use some fit and trim protein bars that have a little chocolate and peanut butter in them. I also do a range of plus or minus 2 lbs for keeping track of where I'm at.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Marcos - many of us do a plus or minus 3%. Not sure where it originated from, but it gives a nice little cushion without being too much.


Woke up to rain. I live in a very dry area so it is always pleasant to have some rain. Did a kettle bell workout and had a healthy breakfast. Waiting on a package to be delivered. Its a new phone and I'm super excited. Shoulda had it shipped to the office though. Hopefully it arrives this morning.

Yesterday was cookie day at work, so I feed the sugar monster too! Today is a potluck. I had rehearsal last night, but managed to get lots done before I left home. I am ashamed that I had to order up a size for my concert dress. To be fair, they are sized small where singers need more space, but the fact is, it fit 7 months ago. I'm keeping that dress in hopes it will fit again by concert time. emoticon

Good morning team! Working late today, so getting a little bit of a late start to the day. I have a meeting a SSA before going to work, so I need to get moving and get my meals packed for the day. Seems like the sugar monster was after many of us yesterday. I was doing okay until my ladies group at church. Found my self eating too much (and you're all right, after the first bite it really didn't taste that good) of some chocolatey, cinnamon frosted chex mix stuff. Still have a few days left before birthday celebration and I know that day will include a gingerbread shake splurge. Will get my ab challenge done now and then 10K+ steps at work.

I also made up my own range - two pounds below to two pounds above my goal weight. Hanging in there. But if there's a range I should be aiming for, I'd also love to know where I find that. Thanks, All!

Great Tuesday morning to all. I weighed today and down a little from last week.

This may be a crazy question but where do I find information on what my range should be, I am always seeing everyone mention that and I guess I made up my own range! LOL, so if there is a site on sparkpeople that someone could send the link to that talks about this topic I would be appreciative!!

Mornin all!

I dropped my guard with candy yesterday too. We had a "shooter in the building" drill and on the way out of the office, picked up three smarties and a little chocolate thing, I don't even know what it was. I worked on passing up that treat bucket all last week.

You're right Maree, it didn't even taste that good.

My heel is feeling much better today but I know if I run that race this weekend, I'll be limpng for a few days again so I'm calling the podiatrist this morning.

Onward with the Tuesday!

Good morning, team. Phebes, Wow. I don't know that coming in "low" has ever happened to me! Good to know about shoes that help with planter facitis. Boy, I HAVE noticed that the "recesses" in my mind about candy just doesn't go away, even in the face of experience (eating a piece and realizing candy doesn't even taste that good now). I think the marketers got to us in our impressionable years! LOL

I'm enjoying the chilly weather in VA and today, for me, yoga is ahead in an hour or so. Looking forward to it.

I actually came in LOW on my calories today - 1109, when the minimum of my range is 1290. Oh well, it was a travel day, I'm sure I'll make up for it later in the week.

Also got in 7,500+ steps.

Hello everybody. Boy it was chilly yesterday - and it felt great. Kelly - I bought a pair of Sketchers shoes several years ago. They have such built up insteps they are like rocking shoes - oh my goodness how they helped with my plantar faciitis. One of my staff also bought a pair last year when her foot suddenly began to trouble her and she swears by them too. She said they were better than the expensive orthopedic shoes she bought. Maybe they'll help you too.

Maree - sorry to hear you were captured by the candy reward monster - happens to me too and the worst of it is ... the candy seldom tastes all that good. Funny how our inner child can snatch at sugar from such deep recesses of time. But congratulations on getting through a tough project.

Today is my official weigh in and I'm confident it'll be good. Last night was elliptical but the weight room was so crowded I passed - I'll go in earlier tonight and do weights first - then cycling.

Good morning all!

Kellie, I hope you're feeling more combobulated today (lol, that's the second person I've heard use that word recently!!) Injuries suck! Sure hope you can get relief and healing soon!

I finished a stressful project yesterday afternoon and then dipped into Halloween candy someone brought to the office to reward myself. I'd passed it up all day, but that old "reward" brain wiring kicked in when my guard was down. Now to remind myself that it didn't even taste that good because I know maintaining my weight, health and fitness is the best reward.

Today is 30 min elliptical and 60 min Intensity HIIT class. It will be a tough workout and a start toward burning off the extra indulgence calories.

Okay, gotta get moving--lots to do as DD and granddaughter are coming to town this weekend! Yaay! Hope you all have a great Tuesday!
