Kelliebean sorry about your foot. A podiatrist is an exercisers best friend.

I may have caught a cold while I was gone this past weekend. I am feeling tired and headachy. Did not get in much exercise today because it was my volunteer day. I find that when I am sick I eat too much fats. I am going to drink hot tea tomorrow and stay with vegetables. I may make some chicken soup.

Linda - Go Sox! I'm a Yankee fan but my children and grandchildren all live in Boston so it's Go Sox for me! I know some would say that means I'm not a real Yankee fan but so be it. Good luck with the new job! I also had a long walk this morning and played golf this afternoon - have over 16K steps already. That may be a record for me.

I am so excited about the Worlds Series Game and the President is coming to Boston, MA today. We already are required to have health care coverage here in Massachusetts started by our Republican Governor many years ago. I hope the Red Soxs win the World Series at Fenway tonight and everyone is safe. I walked the dogs twice today and will walk them two more times today. I found a new part-time job. I pray I will be able to do the job and be great at it. I have not had any training yet. I should be trained next week. Linda from bean town

I'm feeling like Marco in that my routine is important to my consistency. I'm watching the scale creep up and have to admit it's not just extra salt. At least my exercise has been fairly consistent to help mitigate the extra food.

Thanks Bess. DH is much better. So far so good with the rest of the family. Will keep my fingers crossed.
Got a run in this morning. It wasn't good, but they can't all be. Felt really tired. I have a sparkpeople recipe in the crock pot that I'm excited to try - ham and scolloped potatoes. Need to get in the shower and get my booty to the office. Plenty of work there waiting for me!

Good morning team - what an energentic bunch! Getting back to regular nutrition again now that the major races for the year are over. Yesterday I hit the gym after my massage for a cycle/weights class. Felt great to get a good sweat going. Then did some upper body strength work. Today is the last real vacation day for me. Headed to the gym for a work out. Probably core and some stair stepper/treadmill/ellipitacal intervals and then a shorter workout with my nephew tonight and some extra training on the foam roller so I am better prepared to avoid injuries this coming season. Going to get on the road early tomorrow to head home and then podiatrist appt tomorrow. We'll see what he has to say about training for a full this next year. Since I have no foot pain after running this last half, I don't sere any problems. Working on core and glute strength will be my major goals for the next couple months
Welcome MARCOSMASTER! I have problems staying on track whenever life throws me a curve and it takes me a month or so to readjust.
Sorry to hear about your aunt, KELLIEBEAN, but thankfully she is no longer in pain. Hope your foot pain is better soon. Sent you a PM re: a Podiatrist local to you that helped me TONS!

Nutrition in my happy range for an entire week - YAY! And I got in about 3 miles of walking - my hip is improving, though stairs and hills are fairly painful. Getting better, which is my focus.

Hello all! Hi there Marcosmaster!

The scale finally went down for me after struggling for the past three weeks but TOM is about to descend on me. It was good while it lasted!

My aunt passed away yesterday so I'm waiting on info on the arrangements. She was in a lot of pain, raised a wonderful family so we will celebrate her life.

I think I've reached the end of my running days. The plantar faciitis is acting up again, kept me up most of the night. So ice and Aleve are my friends the next few days. I have a couple more events then I'll start looking for other activities to participate in. I've always wanted to volunteer at races so I'll start looking into that.

Here's to a happy hump day to all.

Hey all, I realize I need to get a little more active in the chats, I am struggling to maintain and I attribute it to a huge change in my routine. Lost my job, no worries there, it was just a great way to stay on track. Had my walking partner at work, tracked my water took breakfast and lunch so they were controlled. All of that has gone away and I am walking every other day at home and not being as consistent with tracking and eating. So there, it helped to get that out there, weighed this morning and the scale is up again, a little over a pound since last week. Sadly, that has been the trend for the month, so its a total of four. Not going to get crazy just going to get back with the program that got me to maintance.
Thanks for letting me share that and put it out there, tips are encouraged!

Woo woo everyone. Happy Hump day - with story hour too. Welcome Gregg. Mandy - I hope your DH is better today and the rest of the family can dodge the flu bug. All you runners and 5K-ers, here's hoping your weather is crisp and clear. I got in a nice bike workout yesterday AND some chest and back work. Yay for me at last. I'm still feeling good about it. Today will just be cardio since I have my PT session tomorrow.

Weight was up just a tad over 1 lb yesterday at the official weigh in. Ugh. Baaaad. Let's see how healthily I can eat this week. Maybe I can drop that pound. LOL. Or maybe I can wear summer clothes to weigh in. Maybe both.

Up early this morning for a doctor appointment, good morning maintenance friends! Good day yesterday with calories at the low end of the range, but I did not sleep well last night. DD was coughing a lot so I wanted to keep propping her pillow for her.

Cardio today with a step class and a short run on the treadmill. Have a great day!
