Had a productive day. Got my meals planned for the week and groceries bought. Also got some raw veggies washed and cut and ready to eat. Had a headache but I hadn't exercised in two days so I thought I would "just" walk on the treadmill. Ended up putting in some serious hills for an hour and got a really great workout!

Very late check in today. Was up early and into the city for the Rock N Roll St Louis (Half)Marathon. Was still slow, but 6 minutes faster than my last half and on a MUCH hillier course. PLUS I spent alot of time running back and forth across the roads to high five the cheering spectators (such FUN) so I wound up running .15 miles farther. I consider it a success since besides all that my calorie burn was 100 fewer calories thab the last one also which means that I was in better shape. Now to recover and build on that momentum so that I can train for the full next year.

Church this morning. Since we were greeters at two of the services we were subjected to all the goodies for the coffee hours. I, unfortunately, partook. Now off to the town's Halloween parade (a big thing here). I've never been but I know there will be lots of food at all the businesses. Luckily, we plan to walk there so we can walk off this morning's mistakes before possibly making more this afternoon. Tomorrow is another day.
church this morning followed by a church potluck that is never a good thing for someone watching their weight but will do the best that I can. Then working in the family history center followed by a scout meeting this evening and finally Sunday night football with our big rivals the Minnesota Vikings. Not much time for exercise today but did a lot of walking yesterday.
MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it
I ate way over my usual range yesterday, but we'd had a strenuous hike, so that made up for it. I learned that I still don't do well on hills. The hike was down to a beach and then back up, and I had to stop to quiet my breathing a number of times. Trying to work some indulgences into my diet this week. Donuts for breakfast! Church, then I'm going to make curtido (a Latin American sauerkraut) for the first time.

It's a sunny Sunday and today I'm going to help out with the winter wood once again. We are taking down some of our own trees to thin the property. We have 5 acres of heavily treed land and it's good to open it up and let some of the bigger trees spread there branches and grow better. It's an ongoing project that we pick away at as time permits.
I am still sore from Friday's workout. I think I'll give in and take some Aleve. Pumpkin patch was fun; ate too much kettlecorn. Today we are going to the ST Louis Zoo. Maybe I'll see Logould running the R&R Half marathon. Should be another beautiful sunshiney day!
