Some people are just unhappy and take it out on the rest of us and helpless animals.
Took myself out for Thai food last night, first time in many, many, many months. I am trying to fit in some of the foods I love into the maintenance. I limited it to one dish and did not have any rice. The scale was up 1/2 lb this morning but that is to be expected. Today really watched calories and back to eating at home so the salt level will not be high.
DH had an early drs appt and I had to drive, so I did not get in a walk but going out for one now that the sun is a little lower and it is cooler. Everyone have a great rest of the day

That's horrible about the dog - I truly don't understand some people!!!
Calories in range (was full at dinner from scones for tea, so I shared my chicken curry with the hostel's two cats and older dog) but it was a very rainy day so very little cardio. Today looks like another rainy day. Ah well, at least we're in a beautiful spot!
I am so sorry to hear about your brother's dog Kelli. I just had my little doggy's hair cut and he is groomed. He is looking great. I am glad you can focus on the good stuff like your son's birthday. Linda from bean town
Kelli-that is terrible about the dog! I will think about that today when I get home to walk me little sweetie :( I haven't checked in for so long....the scale has crept up a bit on me, but I have it under control (I think) :) Busy at work and home...just going thru the motions some days. Kelli, that is awful! I hope the killer is caught. If a person is cruel to animals, it's usually not their only problem. I'm looking forward to a busy weekend. My husband is playing two concerts and I have the day long kick off to my women's choir season. That will involve a pot luck lunch that I'm not inspired about. I think I'll just buy a salad or something to contribute.

Even though it was warm, almost hot, as we walked out to the landing yesterday, I wasn't tempted to jump in. The dogs did, swimming after sticks - t hey are retrievers after all, but alas, Indian Summer is not real summer. And I'm glad of it - it means we can start wearing favorite sweaters again.
I'm feeling a little off these days and if it keeps up I will make a doctor appointment. Otherwise, it's still vacation time and I'm still vacating.
Maree, sobering to realize winterizing time is near. I think we have a few weeks of warm fall days here, but that is probably more hope than reality. I will get my kayak in this weekend. Am looking forward to it.
DC, your consistency helps me stay on track! I am handling food okay, but not as good about hard workouts.

Morning M, I'm up and so is my weight this morning. Still at or below goal by a smidge. The fluctuation always drives me crazy.
You sound like me M always working out and busting your butt to stay in shape. It can get tough when it comes to "staying the course". But I like you just keep beating myself silly. Keeping what you worked for is often harder than getting what you worked for.

I'm headed to the gym this morning for 30 min elliptical and 60 min Intensity class. Then a busy day at work and then to the Marina to the houseboat. Sadly , though we will be winterizing this weekend. The temps are dipping pretty low and DH will begin waterfowl hunting season soon, so putting the boat to bed.
