Wow! I too have had a busy day. I took my little doggy to the dog groomers and brought my son to work. I attended a job fair at a local unemployment office. Then I had to get the dog from the groomers and bring him home. My son called for a ride home from work and so I drove to his job to pick him up. I walked the dogs this morning and then again this afternoon and now I need to take the dog out for a short walk before bed. Linda from bean town

Toni I am with you tracking food keeps honest. Got in a 60 minute walk this morning and it felt great. I had a really hard time figuring out how to get in some exercise on the vacation days. I finally just got up early and got out for about 20 minutes before breakfast. On one day I didn't do a historical tour but did 30 minute walk in the surrounding park. I need to keep identifying ways to put the exercise in.

Today one coworker is back from being sick and the other one is out sick! I may be the oldest, but I'm certainly the healthiest! I have to think if they'd each lose 70+ lbs. their health would improve. One of my motivations for maintaining is to set a good example. I was spacy when I got up this morning. I was hunting in my bag for the name badge I'd already put around my neck, then I was three blocks from home when I realized that I hadn't put my wallet in my bag. At least I remembered it in time to go back for it. I'm taking my Mom shopping after work and it would be embarrassing to get to the store and then realize it was gone. I'm ready for the weekend already!
Thanks, Toni, although I am not at work today. I have leave through Monday for the U.S. FreedomWalk in Arlington, VA ( www.usfreedomwalk.org ). Still, I AM glad the shutdown is over.
Today should have been a swim day, but when I got out of the car at the rec center and checked my bag, I jumped back in the car and drove home. I fear the rec center would have not taken kindly to me swimming in my birthday suit, so DH and I went for a walk instead.
Will be offline the next few days working at the walking festival.
Heading up to northern Wisconsin for a 4 day disabled archery deer hunt so wish me luck. Kept calories at or below normal and exercise high for the first part of the week to compensate for the next 4 days. Should be ok as at low end of weight goal. Have a great run everyone. And glad the government stopped acting like little kids and got things running again.
MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it
Thanks Sunnybeachgirl and all the rest of you who congratulated me on my happy anniversary. We had a splendid day and ate 2 days worth of food at a favorite restaurant. Sigh. But that was yesterday and yesterday's gone, right? LOL and today I have all day to make more lean meals. We also drove to Gordonsville and walked all around that little Piedmont VA town. I love these small towns nestled in the Virginia countryside. I like to imagine them 50 years ago or 100 or 150.

Calories are toward the low end of my range, and I got in a little walking despite this being a travel day, and a rainy one at that. Will probably walk a bit in our bungalow (bure) so I can get in my minimum of miles for the day.
