Today's cardio was a 1:55:20 1/2 marathon! My first. I still need to walk the dogs for a slow 15 minutes and then to bed. My calories are really low today, but I'm just not hungry.

Hello! Late check in. I started to write this morning and got pulled in another direction. We have gone from a house of 5 adults + 2 yr old since Thurs evening to just us two (plus 2 dogs and 1 cat, of course). It's quite a change. DH and I went shopping to ease the pain (LOL). It really is an adjustment from going from "chaos" to "silence".

It will be good to get back to routine.

Hope it's been a good day.

Poor Pam! Mouth pain is right up where you live and you can't distance yourself from it. Hope you're feeling better soon. In spite of many indulgences this week I was able to post a loss. I'm still well within normal weight range, but I'll still feel better when get back under 120. My big adventure this week is experimenting with Ethiopian cooking. A neighbor gave us injera last week and when I went looking for Ethiopian recipes found that I lacked some crucial spices. So now that I've got the spices, we're almost out of injera! Yesterday I made the spiced clarified butter that is used in most dishes--it smells heavenly! Today I'll make doro wat, the chicken stew. But first, church!

Pam, hope you heal soon!

Yet another rainy day here. That low remains parked off the mid-Atlantic Seaboard, and the rain and drizzle have continued for days. Guess I'm getting a look at what the Pacific Northwest would be like. I actually have been enjoying the cool, rainy days, and today the weather is making me feel like cleaning. So this morning I attacked the laundry room, which I swear hasn't been cleaned out since we moved in over 13 years ago.

Good morning,

I haven't been able to log on in awhile. I've been pretty much drugged up due to the pain from mouth surgery I had on Thursday. I have been eating awful things because it seems that it's the soft things that are easy to eat. I don't have much good food that I can eat and every time I get out of bed to try and exercise my mouth starts throbbing with pain. If I let the pain get the best of me it's really hard to get back under control. I have to eat something every 4-6 hours when I take my narcotics.

Anyway besides that my spirits are up and I'm getting in my sleep, (in chunks and pieces) and I'm getting my water in...well it's back to rd of bed for me. Have 'a great Sunday

Happy Sunday. A great day for the Chicago Marathon! I'm going to go for a short run today to cheer them on in spirit from the burbs!

I had a great, relaxing day yesterday. I did the 20-min yogalates video, walked the dog twice and decorated the house for Halloween.

I'm going to try some meditation again shortly. A spark member turned me on to Calm.com. It's awesome!

Good morning! Slept late this morning and it felt great to get in almost 8 hours solid shut eye. Must be that Jillian "shred" DVD work out yesterday that has me a little sore--a nice sore, if I do say. Going to have a slow morning.

Made Harvest Vegetable Soup yesterday for lunch and had a bit for dinner too. I'd heard that it is a great healthy low cal food to have around, but have never done it before. I enjoyed all the fresh stuff in it and while I want to tweak the recipe, I think I've stumbled on a great idea for a fall-winter staple. I do love cooking in the cooler seasons and as tempting as baking is...gotta make sure I avoid winter pounds too.

Good morning sparkfriends. Enjoying my family weekend with my in laws. They have been so helpful moving. Emptied the storage unit yesterday except for 1 wire rack and the house of everything except for some tools and some stuff we want to donate. I think my dh & FIL are already gone to fix stuff in the attic. The contractor came and patched an eyesore hole in our basement. Now we are wondering if we go back w/the original cranberry purple color or something brighter? Anyways today I plan to go w/my MIL to take the kids shopping at target to get the kids halloween costumes, they are so excited! I think the kids and I have a cold but when we went to the pediatrician Tuesday the Dr. said it was just allergies. I don't know. Just know we all don't feel our best. Trying the saline spray this morning. Have a great weekend!

I'm going through one of those stages where I either get the nutrition or the fitness right, but the other not so great - haven't had the two in a good place for a week or two.

Today, nutrition was good (low end) with decent proportions - got in my ST - and very little cardio.

Ah well, tomorrow is a walking day.

Good morning team. Up earlier than "normal". Getting ready to go downtown for the marathon and to cheer on a couple dozen friends. Thought I was doing better nutritionally and weight wise, but slipped up again last night. Not really highover my range, but not where I need to be to get under control and drop a couple pounds.
