Yes indeed, it's Thanksgiving -- thanks for the reminder! I happen to have some cooked turkey in the fridge, and some cranberry sauce in the freezer, so guess what I'm having for lunch? I will even have my semi-annual portion of mashed potatoes (potatoes and cereal are the only two things I gave up when I started on this journey).

Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian members! It really makes more sense to have a harvest festival in October rather than November. I'm feeling better today...one huge meal left me feeling like an anaconda who'd swallowed an impala (Google search: "largest thing anaconda can swallow") for a whole day. Got some walking in today while we were waiting for a car repair and after lunch. Now I think it's an afternoon of football and laundry!

Happy thanksgiving hope you have a great day. Driving to northern calif to see family and spend two days where there are fall leaves. Planning to commit to a video today but there will not be much time. Packed lunch and will have a salad for dinner. Next two days will be eating out and will get in a lot of walking. Hope they cancel each other out.

Happy Saturday all, well today is my thanksgiving dinner ....... I am Canadian and this is our weekend!!! Company coming in from OOT and should be arriving around noon with the rest coming just before dinner. I spent hours in the kitchen yesterday and it will be the same today. It is will be very hard to steal time for exercise but I certainly won't be sitting!!! It is going to be a nice day so that is good. Happy Saturday all!!!

I'm here and holding my own. Been on vacation for a week and return to work tomorrow.
Scale increased on me a bit this week regardless of all my efforts at working out. I am still at maintenance which in itself is good. However, for me and my sanity I prefer to be a few notches below.
Dreary here in VA for days. Not setting the stage for outdoor activity. I'll take advantage and do some cooking and shopping. I'll also try to get some relax time in later and read.

Up and getting ready to head out the door to work. Closed last night (got home at 11:30) and today is 8-5. Was suppose to close tonight too, but a co-worker wanted to switch and since tomorrow is the trip into the city to cheer on the Marathoners, I jumped at the chance. Eating was well in range yesterday - so, making progress. Also, scale is back down 1.5 lbs in two days sos I am only 1/2 lb over the center of goal range. Going to try to stay on the straight and narrow, get in lots of miles tomorrow and do a SERIOUS reset on the fitness when I go visit my sis in a couple weeks.

Good morning. Catching up on reading the thread yesterday and today. There is just a hum about the maintainer check in thread. Gets my foot tapping and my body moving.
I persevered in the rain yesterday, walked 4 miles in the drizzle, by myself. See my chest get all puffed up with pride? LOL I do always feel like a kid at play when I exercise outdoors. It's the best for me.
Was supposed to be with one of my closest friends, a friend from hs, this weekend. Unfortunately her younger sister died last week after a long siege with cancer and so my friend could not fly here to visit. I am sad for her, her family and her sister's husband and children. Cancer is so wicked, taking so many good years from so many good people.
Heading into this day with plans of the smaller kind. Making vegetable soup, doing a ripped dvd for my workout and possibly connecting with friends and family briefly. Bess, you are so right. Today is a good day for hunkering down some. Send some of that puppy love over here. Puppies just make me smile!!

Good morning Maree and everyone to come. That's wonderful that the family was all together celebrating your aunt's life! Have a great run.
I came home from work quite drained but because I said I would in my status update yesterday, I got on the elliptical, then did the Spark 28 Day Bootcamp 30 min Total Body Challenge. Spark is SO good for me. The old me would have said, "maybe tomorrow" and hunkered down on the couch with the remote and a snack!
That video always makes me sore for about three days so it will be a light day today. I'm finally going to take a crack at meditation, my September and October goal and I still haven't started yet!
Morning my Saturday Dawn Prowler friends. Today is the first day of my vacation - another Staycation since I'm not boarding a new baby puppy when I can, instead, spend whole days playing with her. LOL. I don't really have that much on the agenda this week anyway - maybe get out the rest of the winter clothes - put away the summer stuff. The main thing is to REST and EAT RIGHT and EXERCISE. The nicest part about this vacation is that I get at least one day (today) to watch the rain from within my cozy house. sweet.

How is everyone today? I got a great night's sleep, we had a beautiful sunshiney day yesterday to lay my Aunt to rest and celebrate her life. I've got loved houseguests until tomorrow.
We are planning a run this morning with DH pushing granddaughter in the stroller, DD and I and maybe my cousins will walk too. I went ahead and committed to a year of classes at the gym--I enjoy working out with DH and the challenge. Look out mates! I'm gonna get even stronger and better!! Lol
