Good luck with the cholesterol numbers, but if they're still high, just remember, it really is food and family. I had a friend who was nearly underweight and still couldn't get her cholesterol level down. She finally gave in and started medication. This evening was a food blow-out...my monthly dinner out with my sisters-in-law. Back to reality tomorrow!

I have been following a really strict vegan diet for the past 4 days.Right before the wellness and blood test appointment today. I had a high cholesterol number last year and I have been following the SP low cholesterol diet, losing weight , eliminating full fat dairy and limiting the amount of meat I eat. Hopefully the numbers will be good this year. After the test I had a small piece of carrot cake and a small piece of lasagna for lunch. Now back to my regular eating habits.

Spark jock, have a very happy birthday. We have to celebrate these special occasion. Hope it is a good one. I am off to golf today. The good news it is not raining but it is cool so will have to dress warm. Also good I will get lots of steps in and if I golf bad I will get even more. So it is all good. Did my weight in this morning and still within my maintenance range so that is great. Have a good day all!!!

Today's my birthday and I hope I don't mess up my maintenance. Things have gone well, and I actually lost another pound (my own personal birthday present). Most of our celebrating will be over the weekend so I plan to party but hope not to overdo. It's raining so that may mess up my steps too. Somehow this will work out and I will be skinny a week from now too! HA!
Early morning puppy walk and then just general cleaning in the house, before i head out to pick raspberries and put tomatoes in the basement to ripen. Otherwise to day is a off training day. Prayers to you marlee, and the adoption story is a priceless gift to give your son.

Feeling tachnologically challenged today - first, my name is not showing up on the Mischeifnight Maint. Challenge and I can't figure out why. Then having problems with registering our transit cards for the marathon this weekend and also having issues with setting up runner tracking.
Need to set that all aside for now...headed out the door to meet some co-workers to get to our service project rehabing a vets house and then work tonight.
Hoping to get back on track with this challenge because I going through a struggling phase and don't want to let things get out of control.

I went for a four mile run yesterday and it was good. I took it slow, deteremined to run the whole thing and I did. Times I wanted to stop, I slowed way down instead. I couldn't believe it. I think fate knew I was determined to do this, I only had to stop once for a car instead of the usual 6 or 7 times.
Hello my spark friends Maree - I'm sorry about the sad occasion but it's good that so much family can gather with you. Especially D and GD. Toni - - LOVE the idea of writing down the story of your son's adoption. I always tell "The Story of William" on his birthday. I ought to write it down too. Strength training today plus annual gyn check-up. New doctor. crazy busy days at work and short staffed too. Working on living my life as if I'd already gotten where I wanted to go - so I need to apply that to my work life too. Time to steer by starlight.
Back home in Virginia as vacation starts to wind down. Journey home was good even though we drove part of it in the rain. Drank a ton of coffee while on the road. Thought I ate well while travelling home only to find the scale up a couple of pounds today. Still at maintenance but right there and I do not like that. What happened to 132 --- Where oh where did it go????
I will make the effort and try not to let this ruin my day. Lots to do today and it's cold and raining out. So not a lot of motivation. Workout first of course after coffee and wake up time. Then off to start the errands.

Up early with work to do. Had a good week in all ways and am looking forward to the weekend at the lake with time to kayak.
Getting back to a "lapsed" family photo project after completing a rough draft on an essay about my son's birth story. The essay is just for him and it's about his wonderful adoption story into our family. He's heard it all his life but asked that it be down in one place. One of my favorite assignments ever!

Only 5 hrs of sleep last night. Even DH is up. He is getting the grill/smoker ready to start cooking a 13 lb brisket. We're having family for dinner tonight as they are all arriving for my Aunt's funeral tomorrow. Best of all, DD and granddaughter will be here too. :;)))
Headed out for 45 min walk with my fitness buddy at 5:00 then a 60 min Intensity class. Weight has stayed at 147 for last several weeks so I seem to have broken the 150 lb barrier! YAAAY! There will be extra indulgences with funeral gatherings but I have also broken the "overeating barrier" which would keep me from my goals. Moderation and Small portions of food; BIG portions of conversation and playing with DGD!
