I swam 1000m yesterday, but I ended up skipping my yoga class to take care of DH. Still wondering why colds hit men harder than they hit women. Today is not off to a good start, despite having my 10,000 steps in. I went out for my run/walk, and within a half mile, I felt a strange pain in my right knee and calf (muscle, not joint, for the knee), but it went away in a few steps. Then, after about 1.5 miles, I suddenly felt as if a hot knife had stabbed my right hamstring. I immediately slowed to a walk, then stopped to stretch. The acute pain went away, but not the tenderness, so I resigned myself to walking. I did try a bit of a slow jog about a half mile later, but there was that sharp pain again, so I finished the rest of the distance walking. Feeling bummed about this, because it was so sudden. On the positive side, I have a pot of SP Slow Cooker Northern Bean and Spinach Soup in the crock pot, so dinner is now easy.
