I know this is a very late check in but since I haven't checked in for about two weeks I decided to do it anyway.
I'm doing a bit better. The time off did me some good. I still need the shot of cortisone in my neck and it's rather dangerous but I have had it before by the same doctor so I'm confident that it will go without a hitch.
The last two days have been great on the weight front. I have drank my water, stayed within my ranges, got in my exercise, though not as heavily as before my injury, gained a pound or two and lost it again once I got back on track. All in all I'm calling it a winner!!!
Pam: I have reached my weight loss goal and lost 103 lbs. I will be forever grateful to my Spark Friends and my Lord who guides me.

Did a 5.5 mile walk this morning which was great. Last night went to dinner at a friend's house. Ate cheese, had wine, loved the lamb casserole, ate the brownie topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce. I was amazed at the number of calories in that dinner and I really did watch my portions. Not looking to the events of the holidays.

Hi everyone.. late check in for me. I've had a really good spell lately and it's nice to almost feel normal again and be able to eat whatever I want for dinner without gastric problems.. I sure hope it lasts for a long time to come.
Exercise and eating on track.
Today was Yoga and walk the dogs and a bit of yard work.. all good.

Week is off to a great start for me... I hope it is great for everyone else
I felt bloated and sluggish yesterday and didn't do anything productive after church yesterday. I posted a gain for the week, but I think this week will be better.

Good morning, maintainers! I had such a busy and fun weekend! DH put together a Friday night in Manhatten with another couple. We took a limo into the city, had dinner at Kean's Steakhouse and then went to the Macanudo Club for drinks and cigars. Yes, cigars - the guys were on cloud 9! It was a great time! Got home at about 1 a.m. and I had to shower to get all the smoke off of me. But was hurting on Saturday! I am just not young enough to pull off those kind of nights anymore. It took me all day Saturday to recover. And I had company over on Saturday night. I ordered some food from the grocery store and called it a day. We had a good time, but no wine for me. On Sunday, I got up at 6 a.m. and did the Central and Sourthern NJ Susan G. Komen 5K run at Six Flags Great Adventure. I ran about a 10 min. mile the whole way and finished at 30:48. Better than my time in April! I layed on the couch the rest of the day and I am still stiff today. Went to the gym and ran a slow 2 miles and then I did the Step and Sculpt class. No carbs after lunch today so that I can start taking the water weight off from the weekend. Have a great day everyone!

Hi all busy day starting with the gym this morning and doctor this afternoon with the usual Monday washing in between and figuring what's for dinner tonight. I am in the Fall 5% Challenge which starts this coming Saturday so I have to get myself geared up for that and complete my numbers and my Sparkpage. I feel I am at a pretty goon weight right now but I need to calculate the right calorie-in/calorie-out range in order to maintain this weight. This is still pretty new to me so I have to work at this right now to get the numbers right so they work for me. Any suggestions would be welcome!!! Have a good day everyone!!!

Up 2 pounds probably due to eating out with friends several times this week (and the added salt in restaurant meals). Also, wasn't feeling 100% and didn't get in much exercise over the weekend. Feeling better and hope to get back on the wagon and lower those numbers on the scale.

Hey all! YAY on the post vacation weight! That's not easy. Bess, I'm praying for rain for you!
I'm still feeling the SP 28-day bootcamp DVD I did on Saturday! I feel my legs strengthening!
I'm on call this week so I'll be doing short runs near the house. I'm doing all my plantar exercises and icing so it doesn't bother me much. I'm being gentile on myself. I have two races in November then I'll back off a bit.
I gave myself a pep talk this morning to make it a positive week!

Quick check in today - busy day, busy week. Getting ready for a trip into the city this weekend to see a group of friends run the Chicago Marathon and cheer them on. Work today from 8-5, then ladies group tonight a church after work. Going to try to find time to map out a one mile walk at work for our fitness program. That's it for today - darned dogs got me up twice during the night, so I hit snooze once or twice too many times....gotta run!

Yoo Hoo everyone. Great news about the maintenance, DC. Toni - it was So Hot yesterday and we walked out to the landing, where there's good swimming. Mostly we wanted to see if the new pup would swim out - which she did - and then I just had to strip down and jump in too. It was cold but not killer cold. and it was salty ... Ugh. We Need Rain. Pleeeeeease. The late beans are a 2/3rds loss this year.
weighed in at goal this morning. Yippee
And today? Today I go back to the gym for an after work cardio & weights session.

DC, that is terrific post vacation news for you. Congratulations! I know Myrtle Beach is no healthy food Mecca either. I bet you had to be vigilant to stay true to your goals.
I am looking forward to busy week ahead. I will have time for a strong elliptical this morning.
Bess, hope to get at least a late, if not a last swim this coming weekend. It is balmy in VA! It feels always bittersweet to close the season. Plenty of great kayaking ahead tho.

Happy Monday to all.
Had a little increase in weight due to eating out while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. Today it dropped back down considerably making the start of the day better for me. I am on track and still below goal. So all in all I am holding my own.
I do hope all of you have a wonderful Monday.
