It's turning into a non-tracking weekend. We had a comfort food breakfast of cinnamon roll French toast for breakfast, soup and a sandwich for lunch, then a neighbor gave us fresh injera (Ethiopian/Eritrean flat bread) and so dinner ended up being that with baba ganoush (not traditional, but tasty) then some Korean barbecue spiced pork jerky, some grapes, popcorn...This morning I got up early to sing in a women's ensemble for the early service at church and at a very stale pretzel roll stuffed with lunch meat on the way to church. It's nearly 3 and lunch hasn't happened yet, so I'm not sure what form meals are going to take!

Kelliebean, I know the feeling. My alarm usually goes off a little before 4 during the work week, and during this first week of furlough, my cat has decided to substitute for the alarm clock. Sheesh! Sorry about the doctor advising against running. My uncle was a doctor, and he pretty much said the same thing to me when I tore my ACL. I stopped running for decades and have just decided to go back to it.
So...after overdoing it all week with running, looooooong walks, swimming, and ST, I took yesterday totally off. Off as in a therapeutic massage (meaning deep tissue and pain) and spending the day otherwise with my feet up watching TV and eating mindlessly. Back to the routine today. Started the day with a 4-mile run/walk, then walked an additional mile. The 5 miles took 61 minutes. I figure if I can start a HM like that, I can walk the other 8.1 miles if I need to and still finish in the allotted time (3:30 here).
maree - my uncle said "it's a good thing we have company ... otherwise we'd never clean the house!" LOL
Welcome back Toni - and congratulations Kelly on the physical. But sorry about the plantar fascia issues. Lougould - have a relaxing rest of the weekend too. I earned my fitness points yesterday with a walk, a wedding and a well cleaned house. And though I thought I'd planned out exactly what I'd eat to stay within my calorie limits - I didn't. The damage was done with a second piece of wedding cake. Yeah. emotional eating. Ah well. That was yesterday. This is today - and today I think I have some sweet recharging time all to myself. And if I don't it will be because I'm with a beloved girlfriend. Either way I win.

Quick check in this morning. Spent a lovely evening with friends old and new at another friends book release party. Up early and headed out the door for a quick 5K, then church and then the remainder of the afternoon prepping for the week to come. Bed early tonight. Enjoy the rest of your weekends team!

Hey hey it's Sunday and the dog got me up at 5:15. GRRR.
I had my annual physical yesterday. He liked my lab results. Cholesterol had gone up but still in normal range but this is due to my family history he said because he can see how active I am based on my HDL.
We talked about my plantar faciitis and he said he never tells his patients to run for fitness due to the long-term injuries and arthritis it leads to. That was disheartening.
Yesterday I did the SP yogalates video and walked the dog in the morning then in the evening, I did 20minutes of interval training on the elliptical and then the SP 28-Day Bootcamp 30-min total body workout DVD.
It's still Saturday night here but I what the heck!!! Busy evening but dishes are done, kitchen is clean and I told DH I am nor cooking tomorrow. Leftovers it is. We are going to a farmers market later in the morning so other than that it will be a low key day. Have a good Sunday all!!!!

I shampooed carpets and mopped floors and dusted and ugh today I need to finish inside and move outside. Cousins will be staying here Tuesday through Sunday so I need to think groceries too. And then there's the deadlines at work. I'm going to church this am and then the office and am grateful DH will help when he finishes fishing tournament. I'm still sore from Fridays workout
