Oppps wrong day. yesterday was awesome! I did my run fastest time yet and only 3 minuets shy of my goal for the 5k. my knee didn't hurt at all and I got my booty workout in lol. though I did have to bench the poor dog, she was holding me back. I think the dog park and bike trails where she can be off leash will be best for her. she just pulls to much on leash and it ends up putting way to much pressure on my knee.

Weighed in at 150 today so still maintaining that goal weight. The 10K steps a day surely helps since I'm allowing myself a bit more to eat, in general. But definitely not allowing things to get away from me.

Happy October everyone. I read in one of the posts that it was 80 today. Seeing I live in Vancouver! BC we will mot see those temps until next July. One can only dream!!! We had lots of rain this morning but the sun is out now so that is good. I was in the kitchen all morning. making cabbage rolls so the rain was ok. There will be no gym today but 4 hrs in the kitchen will have to be my workout. My weigh-in for the month will be the end of the week so hopefully all will be good. I am still trying to find the balance between losing and maintaining. Have a good day all.

Must be something about the slow slide towards winter that make you want to eat warm high carb food. I have been avoiding pasta while I was losing but now in maintenance I wanted to add it back in. Bought whole wheat pasta. I need to cook less than I did, which was a lot less than I used to cook. But it still turned out to be 1 1/2 cups of pasta per serving. Weight is up a pound this morning and everything else was about the same. Didn't use more than 1 TBS of cheese, and about 3 TBS of olive oil. Did get in exercise this morning.

Not quite enough sleep last night and tonight will probably be a repeat as we're going to a concert tonight. I'm debating whether or not to buy the new Spark fitness tracker. I don't think it would be any improvement over my pedometer, but the automatic upload of data is pretty nifty. Weight pretty stable. I forgot to take my medications yesterday morning, so I may be a little puffy from that. Planning an indulgence today: donuts! emoticon

Happy October!

The scale is up three pounds today but I chalk that up to the french fries I had at lunch yesterday and TOM about to begin. I will work on keeping things in check as best I can this week!

I had a great night at yoga. A bit heavy on the downward dogs last night, got a little light headed coming up on the last couple. whooo!

I have an off-site meeting all afternoon, ugh, but at least I can go home afterward. Onward with the October!

Good morning! Would enjoy knowing your friend's title if you feel comfortable sharing, Logould. Pup bonding sounds so great and important, Bess. Those early training times are so needed. And kudos for all the awareness of the pitfalls of holiday eating habits. My head is officially up and vigilant, thanks to you, team.

Odd day for me. All clear liquid diet prepping for screening colonoscopy tomorrow. I will miss crunch! Lol feeling good about getting test though. I know it is the healthy thing to do.

Good October morning team. Starting the month at goal with my average just a half pound overr the center of range and working my way back down. Going to be diligent about getting toward the bottom of range before the holidays. Still waiting to hear when my orthotics are going to be back in and really feeling the loss of them. Exicited that a friend"s (author) book is being released today, so, hopefully it is loading correctly onto my Kindle app. Have a day off tomorrow, so will get a chance to read and will go to the chiro for my initial appt.
BESSHAILE - so cool about your puppy - what kind? Hope to see pics soon!
Especially grateful for all of you today and the knowledge that I have all of you to learn from as I traverse the slippery slope we refer to as "THE HOLIDAYS!" Going to learn alot this year.

Good morning. Happy October. I am starting the month with a good attitude and determination to shed those 5 pounds that I gained over the last month with one Jewish Holiday (should say eating holiday) after another. This is such a change for me, usually I let 5 turn into 10 and then 20. So I am determined to beat those pounds into oblivion. I woke up early and got some cardio in. I have zumba and pilates later today.

Maybe something more spiritual. But I need something to do every day and I'm still casting about in search of it.

New Baby Puppy is luring me back home after work. I know I've been giving the gym short shrift but I do come home and walk out to the mile point. I feel like I only have these few weeks to bond with the new dog. We do a morning walk too. I read somewhere once that dogs learn while taking a walk - just like they're in a wild pack. At least - that's what I tell myself. LOL.

I may not make it to my WW meeting today because there are back to back meetings at work. I'll just have to wait and see.

Good morning! Yesterday's posts seem to have a positive outlook on this new month ahead of us -- except the potential govt. shutdown. ugh.

My luncheon walking buddy is back from vacation so I enjoyed hearing about her experiences in Vermont and Albany NY while we walked in the 72 degree sunshine. It's warming to the 80s today, but the highs predicted this weekend are only in the 60s. I'm headed to the gym this morning for 30 min on the elliptical and a 60 min Intensity (crossfit type) class. I have about one week left of the trial classes and then must decide whether to sign up and pay an additional fee.

I only had 5 hrs of sleep last night, but I'm feeling better and am looking forward to a great day. Hope it's a great one for all my teammates!!
