Had another awesome workout today then came home and we went shopping for freggies!!! I am happy now the cupboard is full of good stuff for the week. I just love this time of year when everything is so fresh and reasonable!!!! Have a good dY akk!!!

busy weekend trying to put everything away and get caught up after being away for a week and a half. The scale is looking good and today i got lots of water time with 1.45 hrs of water jogging and aerobics. Have to get a lot done this week because deer hunting starts of saturday for 9 days and i will be in the woods most of the time from sunup to sundown unless i'm lucky and get my deer early in the week. The good thing is plenty of exercise and calories are controled as you can only take a small cooler into the woods. I like Bess have had puppy fever as i now have a 7 wk old black lab puppy to take care of. Her name is Licorice and she is a living doll. Weighs 11 lbs so she will be a big girl. take care all

Seems like it was an active weekend for everyone! Way to go! Happy last day of September! DH and I celebrated our anniversary with my MIL and FIL on Saturday night and they took us to dinner. It was a delicious meal. I had the miso glazed sea bass with bok choy and it was cooked to perfection! Had baked sweet potato fries with it! Heavenly! Of course I left room for dessert - carrot pancakes with cream cheese ice cream! OMGsh! It was fabulous! Ran 2 miles before we went to dinner so it felt good to indulge.
Yesterday, I was back on track and back to my normal work out routine today. I really need to try to watch my salt intake. I think I am retaining some fluid and I want to work on that more this month.
Got out and did a 3.5 walk with my neighbor and then did a 30 minute interval walk. We ate at a food truck yesterday and my weight is up and a bit of an upset stomach. They always look so good but too much salt and fat. Going to be really good for the next few days because there are food events over the weekend.

Good Morning and a good one it is.. we had one heck of a wind and rain storm last night and I was amazed that we didn't lose power. I was prepared with lots of water containers filled up, just in case and candles handy.
I am feeling so much better this past 2 weeks now that my digestive issues have eased up. Yesterday I transferred quite a few wheelbarrows of firewood we have sitting outside, to inside the wood shed. It isn't far, but lots of bending and good movement and today my lower back is complaining, but I'm so happy I was able to do it. The rain drove me indoors before I had a chance to really over do it.. Thank goodness!!
Yesterday was stormy, so I wasn't very active. I did manage to get to bed at a decent time and got a good night's sleep. Weight up this morning. Yesterday I did get a slow cooker meal ready to go, so I should come home to dinner mostly made.

Farewell Sept - October (and the holidays to follow) BRING IT ON! Feeling especially grateful for a little extra free time - this is going to be a VERY BUSY couple of days at work. Have lots of fruits and veggies prepped and ready though for snacks and meals. Missing my orthotics - the ache in my heel is already coming back and I really wanted to get some more running in before the half-marathon at the end of the month.

Overdid it yesterday...went for a 5K run/walk, then on a 20K volksmarch that turned into 25K. My feet, knees, hips...heck, my everything was sore. I crawled into the tub with a glass of wine and turn the jacuzzi jets on my hips and feet.
Not looking forward to tomorrow, since if the House continues its stubborn seflishness, I will be sitting home with no pay...basically working as hard as Congress is working.
I was a bit of a blob yesterday but I got a lot of walking in... took the dog for her two 20-min walks we do on weekends. Then I needed hair color so I walked to the store which is just over half a mile away.
I've always been glad I was born in the fall, though - because even after the birthday month there are a cluster of Other Holidays up ahead. Labor Day to New Year's Day - one long party.
Lots and lots of exercise got in this weekend - walks, much stair climbing as I began to swap out summer clothes for the lighter winter ones. Much puppy play. And moderately healthy eating ... if we dont' count Saturday's dinner which at least had the virtue of being planned for. My home scale says I'm a tad over my goal weight - tomorrow is the official weigh-in. We shall know for sure, then. Today? It ought to be the gym but I bet puppy lure will prove to be stronger. Happy Monday to one and all.
Whew, what happened to September! It went screaming by.
I am back from my trip. I weighed in and had not gained any weight, which pleased me. Next few days I am in preparation mode for a screening colonoscopy. A bland diet will be a challenge and of course the day before prep too. But worth it for making sure fewer of us get colon cancer, that's for sure.

I'm headed to the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min Dynamic ST class. Yesterday when I woke up my chest seemed clear of the wheeze, but as the day wore on the cough and gunk came back and some bone-chilling fog rolled in so I decided a rest day was in order, especially since my leg muscles were still screaming.
