End of the day check in. The cooking class was kind of fun, but my sister-in-law and I didn't learn much. It was largely a showcase of ingredients sold by the shop that sponsored the class. I did learn a bit about rice bran oil (high smoke point, for starters). Today was work and then taking my Mom shopping, then getting stuck in traffic so I had little time at home before heading out to a symphony concert. I heard on the radio this afternoon that tomorrow is an international beach cleanup day, but I'm too tired and found out about it too late to motivate myself and husband to get up early to pick up garbage in the rain. Maybe we'll participate in the next one. Have a great weekend, all!

On a enjoyable long weekend trip which ended a full week spent at my bachelor brothers house where i got plenty of exercise cleaning his house from top to bottom and doing 18 loads of laundry. He is disabled and thinks have gotten away from him so now every thing in his house is cleaned and washed. Now I am in Michigan where i just picked up a 8wk old black lab puppy that i will be raising for the Leader Dog for the Blind program. She is a beautiful little girl who has 7 female siblings. I was waivering on names but she sealed her name when they handed her to me and the first thing she did was lick my nose so her name is licorice which i love. Tomorrow and Sunday we have a training weekend at the School for the blind so the motel is busting with leader dog puppies and their raisers. We will leave Sunday and have a 11 hr. drive back to central wisconsin. Should arrive on Monday around noon. Will be traveling with 3 people and 3 puppies and should be interesting. Have a great weekend everyone.

I went back to bed after hugging dh out the door. I don't often return to bed, but guess I needed it as I did sleep a bit more. The second time up I immediately scrubbed all the tile floors, cleaned up bathrooms and got the dishwasher loaded and started. Now I'll make some brunch and head out the door for a long walk up and down the hills. Cheers!

Quick check in then out the door to work. Going in an hour early (but getting out an hour early too!) YEAH! This month is a dismal fail so far as maintaining goes. Just let my schedule get away from me and not tracking or getting in the fitness as I should. RESET begins Monday AM - right after the Half-Marathon.

Quick check-in, then back to work. Stressful day yesterday with too much to get done on a telework day, but I fit most of it in. Then I went to ST and ended the day with DH. We had a glass of wine on the porch in perfect temperature, then went in to cook ourselves a wonderful anniversary dinner. Tonight we have a wine dinner out, so we will celebrate some more.

My weight is slowly creeping upwards now that my gastric problems have eased off and it's all good as I'm still below my goal weight. I've also slowed down a lot since I've completed all the big chores around the house over the summer months.
I'm feeling sluggish this morning and looking forward to getting out soon with the dogs for a walk in the woods. The darker mornings and rain coming back in are contributing to this blah kind of feeling..
Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning, team! Happy Friday! Happy birthday-eve, Bess! Hope you enjoy the weekend! Kellie, enjoy the walk with your daughter. Such a blessing to see your child accomplish so much!
I am getting ready to do some ST this morning! Indulged yesterday, so I am back on track today. Going to hit the farmers market and the library today. Movie night tonight. This means pizza for the girls and a salad for me and DH.
Hope everyone has a great day!!!

Hey all! I'm ready for the week to be over. I didn't have the energy I thought I had for a run yesterday but I made it through!
I'll get some walks in today, we'll see about some ST otherwise tomorrow for sure after another run.
Sunday I'll be walking with my daughter in the Chicago NEDA walk (National Easting Disorders Association). She coordinated the walk this year. It was a lot of work and I am so proud of how far she has come in her recovery! Looks like perfect weather for it too.

Naps are definitely a recreational activity - perhaps one of my favorites.
I meant to go to the gym yesterday and then got to talking with a young girlfriend and the hours flew by. Instead Himself and I walked out to the mile point and back with our little white dog. Friday is always my rest day but I'm going to try to get in lots of walks because it's going to be a party filled foody weekend and I definitely want to make it through to Monday at the same weight. It's Birthday Eve for me and we are looking at New Puppy Websites.
Happy Friday to one and all.

Good morning! Coffee cup raised back to you Maree. A couple of crackers and then a stop. That's just a "tracking moment," DC, and I can tell you are taking it in stride. Phebes - naps are golden, aren't they? Glad you could catch up on your sleep.
My weekend is about to begin. So looking forward to it and still squeezing some summer out of the fall days here in VA. Plan to kayak and maybe get a swim in. Have begun to turn around my summer clothes for fall and winter. As always, it seems to be coming on fast!
Have a fun, safe and active weekend, team mates. You never fail to help me keep my day on a better track. Toni

Calories mid-range (my best losing spot) and a good walk today with hills! Plus a nap - didn't sleep well the previous 3 nights, so was exhausted by mid afternoon.

Well here we are at September 20th already. Most of you will start your weekend at days end and I'll be half way through. Either way we are all blessed. Me because I am upright and typing this you because you are upright and reading this.
Had a couple of extra crackers last night after dinner, I could have easily went on a wild binge but did not. However, there is always a price to pay and the scale is the evil behind it all. I guess as time goes on you get use to fluctuations. You maybe not me. I hate it!
Now that I said that it has not ruined the start to my day as I expected it. Knowing what is coming is half the battle.
What I can not figure out is the calorie differential. Even though you still have a negative count for the day, your weight will jump a couple of pounds after eating more than "normal". Whatever "normal" is. spelled "restriction" in our world. I think it is either your body's reaction to what you have eaten "inflammation" or the actual weight of the food.
What a pain.
Have a great day all.
For me it's workout, a little yard work, lunch with the wife, and thankfulness to the Lord for the common sense and wisdom I have developed over time.

Good morning, mateys! It's Friday!
Safe travels to those on adventures, and Oneweigh, a cooking class sounds like great fun--it will be interesting to hear about it! Kellie, way to go, pushing that slug of the couch--exercise always makes us feel better, doesn't it? And Toni, focusing on the people and conversation instead of the food is a skill that all of us maintainers can and should master.
I decided to attend a Dynamic ST training class at the gym last night. Kicked butt literally. DH was fishing, and it was a good complement to the early morning long walk I took. This morning I'm headed to the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min Intensity. DH has warned me that Fridays are challenge days, so I'm bracing for a good workout. I figure I can do almost anything for an hour and will emerge stronger.
Raising my coffee cup to all with a wish for a strong and healthy day!
