Today I went to Weight Watchers for my weekly weigh in. I am happy to report I lost 4.6 pounds. In 2009 I reached my goal, but gain back 35 pounds of the 75 pounds I originally lost. So I am back to WW and glad of it. Maintenance scares the heck out of me. I usually don't stay there and succeed in keeping my weight off. So I am 15 pounds from goal and I am asking for support from all of you. I have started writing a blog about my current emotional journey with weight loss and I think this has helped me lose the 20 pounds I have lost. I am facing my issues by writing about them. Good afternoon, team! Sitting outside sparking today. It is beautiful. Did 1.5 miles on the treadmill this morning and then did my advanced step class. It was a great cardio workout.
Had lunch with a friend today and we got the mile high nachos to share. I have not had those in months. It was good but the sodium is going to show on the scale tomorrow. We had a nice time catching up with each other.

Feeling sluggish this week. Is it me or is it this crazy weather? Yesterday I allowed myself a complete rest day, which in retrospect I should have done something besides laying around, but I was so tired I had absolutely no energy and no will to move. Today I am planning on a run. Happy Thursday!
Morning everyone! Kind of a late check-in for me, but I decided to sleep in after having crazy days Mon/Tues and traveling all day Wed. Plus, I think I deserve a little sleeping in on my birthday! ;) I'm going to do a little Taebo here before I head into Boston for lunch with a friend. I'm still going to try to do some fitness every day and eat in range on my calories even though I'm on vacation. Have a great day everyone!
My scale is being stubborn too! I was in range yesterday for eating, still not moving enough, though I think choir practice counts as some activity. Tonight is my monthly get together with my sisters in law. Instead of going out to dinner, we're taking a cooking class. It's a demonstration class and we'll eat what the instructor makes. My nonscale accomplishment for the day yesterday was putting together a 78" cat tree. The youngest cat "helped"!

Good morning all. So I increased my calories this week and I gained! I was always in my calorie range and I am still in my maintenance range but I want to keep the scale steady. So this weekend will be hard with starting today 5 days of restaurant meals!!!! Yikes.....oh well, just have to enjoy the weekend and be careful! Have a good day all.

I was a bit sluggish yesterday, let some stuff mess with my head and almost turned into a couch potato but I got up and got my second walk in and did some upper body ST like I said I would. I post, therefore I do!
Maree - doncha hate it when the scale gets stubborn? Keep at it and it'll soon cooperate. I'll be indoors, alas, most of this pretty day but we are one day closer to the weekend. I tried the rowing machine yesterday at the gym - prompted by a spark article about them. I think that machine is maybe a little worn out since the resistance setter didn't seem to change things much. It was also a little boring because I couldn't plug it into the TV sound jack but it was an interesting change. I tried to concentrate on doing it with abs engaged. Then I hopped on the stationary bike and did 25 minutes on that.
I also WAY overate on high fat foods yesterday. I love cheese and I gobbled up rather a lot of it. At least the good stuff is gone now and even temptation won't get me to drive back into town to get More Cheese. LOL. I can do a lot of low fat substitutes for high fat goodies - but not when it comes to cheese.
Pretty day in Virginia ahead. I'm getting into a Fall state of mind. Excellent exercise push yesterday. 45 mins on the elliptical and then a 20 minute "constitutional" with my DH last night after dinner. (Always feels so great to step outside for a short walk after dinner).
Community picnic this weekend. Always good to check in on people who pass by quickly at other times. I'm going to put my focus on them more than the food, as well as make a healthy salad for my contribution.

Good morning! I read yesterday's posts and hope all those who are traveling have a great time. I long to take a week or two off work but the best I do is take a day here and there or leave early on Friday. We will be staying home this weekend and I have a to do list going and last night DH tells me he may need for me to fish with him in his tournament Saturday from 3-11 pm. So much for my plans! Oh well.
Today is walk with fitness buddy for 5 mi, a nice break from the boot camp type workouts I've done all week. Nutrition has been on track but that pesky scale disagrees. Ugh.
