Good evening all. Been a busy day so I am checking in late Had an awesome class at the gym en home to shower and make lunch then off for a doctor appt. I am packing today for a short out of town trip for a family wedding. Another challenge when you are eating so many meals out. It's called life!!! And we just have to learn how to manage. You might not hear from me for a few days!!! Stay well!

It is still morning here by just a little. Have stayed in nutrition ranges each day for quite awhile. It feels great and my weight has been extremely stable at 172 (exactly right for me). My time has been very limited so it has been difficult to get on here these days, but I manage it late at night on most days. Too late for most of you. Anyway life is great and I'm happy ,

KIMBERLY_K - What is the recipe for your salmon cakes? I have been asking for recipes of foods I like but don't eat because I don't know what to do with them. SPARKJOK - on 42nd Anniversary TORTISE110 - it's a beautiful day here also. I need to get my workout in before it gets too hot.

I am really skilled at losing weight but I realize that I am not so skilled at maintaining it. This check in helps. I did a strength training video and a 4 mile walk. I realize that I need to balance the cardio with the strength training. Cut out all wine with dinner this week and really watching the carbs because the number was going up. It was down a pound today which is good. Will be traveling to see family over the weekend and I plan to check in each day.

Morning everyone! I am going to do my best to check in while traveling. I've been pretty stressed out, which usually results in me undereating and not caring too much about tracking (pretty closely related!), but now that I'm actually at the airport, I can relax. My workouts fall to the wayside a bit, but I still do some core ST and took a walk this morning. Hope everyone's doing well!
Forgot my pedometer for the second day in a row. Seeing the midweek increase in weight, but expect to post a solid loss for the week. My doctor appointment went well and I hope this time we have a solution. It'll be months before I can expect real improvement. My husband did OK with his mom's appointment as well. She made it clear that she wants to do nothing to prolong her life, not even to take medicine to lower her cholesterol. She fears ending her life like her mother did, so demented that she didn't recognize her family. She will get a flu shot. I expect the place she lives requires it. The stress of seeing a new doctor made me want to eat all evening. I went over a bit, but not much, by talking myself down from a Belgian waffle to a cucumber spread with fat free yogurt cheese.

Stayed within my range yesterday and scale shows it this morning. Gt my steps in and made salmon cakes for dinner last night and used brown rice and broccoli in them. Girls loved them! Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning, 'mates. I'm glad you are okay, Celia. This shooting was "close to home" in our city and I'm glad you were locked down. It was confusing when they thought there were random shooters still out and nothing seemed to change in the city for many of us. I shudder to think we are getting blasť about mass shootings.
Pretty morning and I'm looking forward to working out before several appointments. Also want to plant a "salad" garden in a container on our porch. Fall is a good time here for those cool weather crops that suffer in the humidity during the summer.

Thanks, Maree, for the good thoughts. The shooting was indeed horrible. One of the local radio stations is sharing profiles of the victims to bring them to life.
Feeling a little dragged out today and wondering if I'm getting a cold. Even had to put my head down on the desk for a few minutes earlier. We'll see how it goes after my second cuppa (brewing). Still planning on a good walk today to help make up steps missed Monday when I forgot my Fitbit.
Back at the gym yesterday. That routine is just so comforting and I got to go about half an hour earlier than usual and there was nobody. I could turn on 3 different channels and watch whatever I wanted. Felt so indulgent. LOL
Eating, otoh - was a little high but extremely nutritious.
Prayers for everyone right now, since we are all wounded when one of these mass shootings occurs.
I checked for other threads and see none so here goes! With two daily check ins yesterday we had a lot of new faces so welcome all team mates! Celia, glad you are okay after being so close to that horrible shooting.
I slept 8 hrs, 8 to 4, feels great! I'm headed to the gym for my second Intensity class (60 min) and 30 min elliptical. Weight is up a lb so will drink more water and eat less almonds today. I'm still at a low range but want to stay here.
