Logould I understand the mindless eating. I let myself get too hungry today, was tired from a busy day and then stopped at the deli counter to get something to eat. I love croissant chicken sandwiches and so a I got one along with piece of lemon pie. I ate it all and felt a little ill. I find that I make bad choices when I am alone and hungry. At least I went for a walk when I got home and had a very very small portion of meat and veggie for dinner. Didn't put me over on my calories but my fat grams were way too high.

Home from work. Animals are taken care of and sis and I have been fed. Really in a mood for some mindless eating, but there's been way too much of that lately, so off I go to do some chores and reading and ST and try to stay busy until ready to get to bed. Program by Max Lucado on the radio at 9PM, so I am going to treat myself to some ArcticZero and tea for making good on the healthy promises and actions I'm making to myself.

Linda, amazing story! Congrats, JEP!

Still struggling with the evening snacking, now even with DH home (before it was just when he was gone). Must break this habit...again! At least I've come out of my exercise slump and have been getting good walks in.

I will never forget my one visit to New York City on 9/11 and how scared I was. I took the train the weekend before to the Big Apple. I was site seeing and went to a Broadway theater. I was going to leave the city by getting back on the train to visit my son who lives in Pennsylvania. When the attacks happened the train station was closed, the stores were closed, I had left my hotel and had to find another one and I could not use my cell phone. I had to find a land line in Mid town. All the buses and trains stopped and bridges were closed. I was lucky to find a cab to drive to another hotel uptown. The people of New York was so kind and caring.

I am thankful to be alive today. I am so sad for the people lost on September 11 and April 15th. In Boston there was a double ceremony for both attacks. I walked my dogs but now it is too hot. I will take them out for a short walk then right inside to the AC. Linda from bean town

Thinking of the 9/11 ceremonies today.

Today's workout:
Cardio, core, weights, two Sparkpeople videos, stretching.
Yesterday an afternoon walk and 90 minutes of dragon boating.

Wahoooo, JEP! Now the test is over and I am so glad you took time to celebrate! CONGRATULATIONS. emoticon

My sister and her husband flew home this morning and I'm tired from the full week of hostessing. It was fun, but you know how it goes. Went outside and weeded before the heat set in today. It felt good to get my hands in dirt.

Back to work now and will try to get a quick elliptical in later today.

Photo coming of that new dress, Bess?

Have a good one, team! toni

Hey everyone! Looks like things are going very well in maintainerland!

emoticon

I got a good run in last night despite the heat, then I did an 11-minute plank routine I learned from spark member CGG11. That is not a typo, that was 11 minutes! OOOF! I didn't do great but I kept at it and plan to keep working on it!

A somber anniversary today so hugs to all. Let's make it a good day!

75 min of water jogging, 45 min low impact water aerobics, followed by 45 min of low impact strength training. Wednesday is my huge workout day as i have back to back classes to teach., so i usually don't to much on Tuesday. Rest of the day is cleaning and reclaiming the kitchen table as the papers seemed to have multiplied over the night. Then if time allows and isn't to hot i want to finish cleaning out the garage. Next couple of days are busy as i get ready for a trip to Green Bay for a 100th birthday party and then to Michigan to pick up a 8 wk old black lab puppy that i will be raising for a year for the Leader Dog for the Blind Organization. Still trying to decide on a name for the puppy so if anyone has a idea let me know.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Morning team, saw a blip on the scale this morning - half pound up over my goal mid range and I know EXACTLY why. Not enough ST and getting lax at tracking and this morning was my serious wake up call. It stops TODAY! NOTHING goes in my mouth unless it is on my tracker first and tonight after work, ST - before ANYTHING else. Got to get moving - hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Good morning maintainers! Linda - that's great news about the ramp. Maree - emoticon I'm sorry to hear how many little ones are daunted by those first days of school. My son was always glad to go off - like a little soldier, with squared shoulders and determined look - just so long as mama, who worked in the building next door, didn't come along. "I can do this by myself" said my kindergartner and it went on like that for 13 years. Glad to hear everyone's getting in lots of good exercise.

Yesterday was my official 6 months at goal weigh-in and I'm prouder than punch that I weighed in smack on goal. The reward? I went shopping for pretty autumn colored transitional clothes emoticon and scored. Good thing, too, cause it's gonna be in the 90's all this week and the leaves are already turning!

Happy Hump Day everyone

Good morning everyone. Happy to be here and happy with the scale this morning 132.2. Great number for a wednesday. Lets see if I can hold it there through the upcoming weekend.

Great day to all.

Good morning teammates!

Hope those kiddos adjust to their new school routine soon, that the testing went well for JEP, that Linda gets that ramp soon, that "wirk" hasn't killed anyone (Bess, you crack me up!). Work is vamping up for me--ugh. I am grateful for meaningful work, but not very good at delegating--need to improve that skill.

Headed to gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class this morning and then a 60 min intro class to Dynamic semi-private training after work. It should be interesting.

Take care all and hope your day is a good one!
