Dropped a few pounds from last week. Didn't get on the scale. I will on Friday.

Traveling today. Long car ride which often leads to a uptic in my weight. There will be no time for exercise the next few days and may be eating out a lot. Oh well will make good choices

Happy Friday! It is a gorgeous day! Yesterday was beautiful too. Took the girls to the beach yesterday for one last time before school starts Monday. We had a blast. The water was warm and they love splashing in the waves! Brought lunch with us so that we would not be tempted by all the treats on the boardwalk. It was a great day!
Today, we are at the library after going to the gym for my ST workout. Friday is movie and pizza night so they selected a movie from the library and I let them eat pizza in the living room for movie night. I am down .4 lbs this morning from last week and Since I am doing a September weigh in challenge with the Fabulous By Forty team, I was .1 lb. from my goal this week. I am very happy about that since I know I am retaining a lot of water. Going to try to eat a healthy meal tonight while the girls eat their pizza.

Yesterday a brief afternoon walk and 90 minutes of dragon boating.
I have been away from home much of the summer, spending time with all my grand babies. This has limited my Sparking and visits to my fitness center. It has also increased my eating out...not good. However, I have managed to stay within 2 to 3 pounds of where I was in May. I have one more trip and then it is back to strict Sparking and fitness for me! Hope all of you have a wonderful fall!

Hi everyone.. I'm doing pretty good with eating and exercise. My weight is pretty stable now between 105 and 107 and I'm good with that as I'm not starving myself.
The sun is back and that is making me smile.. we had a spell of rainy cool weather and it really dampened my spirits as it reminded me of whats to come!!

Opted to telework today because my commuter bus company decided to run minimal operations for the afternoon, ensuring a dreadful commute home. Yes, I could slug, but everyone else will be doing the same thing, so the slug lines will be loooooong.
My news is that I am test driving a device for my tinnitus. I had an appointment with an audiologist yesterday to get fitted with a programmable hearing aid to help mask the tinnitus. It's just a regular hearing aid, but these new gadgets can be programmed with different noise programs. Of my four programs, only one has any amplification, and the others are different versions of white noise tuned to my particular tinnitus loudness and pitch. The one I like best has a modulation in loudness that ends up sounding like gentle waves on the beach, wind whispering through the trees, or distant buzzing of cicadas. Since there is no cure for tinnitus, I'm happy for partially mitigating the internal sound that sometimes just screams (usually when I have not had enough sleep or sometimes when I strain in weight training).

I have a chair lift and a ramp is much cheaper to install. Exercise to day was 70 minutes of water jogging followed by 45 mins low impact water aerobics. Will miss Sparks for the next two days as I'm going on a canoe trip for boyscouts. Have a great weekend everyone.

I am losing weight and I did not make it to the gym. I contacted more contractors about a ramp for Mom. One contracting group gave me an idea to try installing a chair lift for the outside. I will be looking for a chair lift and try to find out which one is less expensive to install. I can not go out today with Mom because of her mobility issues. Linda from bean town

Scale down a bit farther this morning. I'm tired, stormy weather interrupted sleep. I'm also feeling queezy, but I'm hoping breakfast will settle that. Happy Friday!
Morning team! Still watching the scale slip slowly back to where I was before the Labor Day weekend. Never got above the middle goal weight range, but get SO scared when I see a jump like that. Working today from 9-5(get to go in an hour late because I stayed late yesterday for a big customer). Tomorrow I have a Community Impact meeting in the AM, work 2-11, then up Sunday for a long run before church, then church and another meeting for Community group leaders after church. I'll still get my 10K steps in daily, but really want to start a plan to get back into the gym after these last 2-3 big races this year. I think I would like to get with a trainer maybe once a month to give me some direction and accountability on a monthly basis. I'm on a pretty tight budget, so I can't really afford more than that, but I could use the motivation to get the momentum going and to keep with a plan to set and achieve some goals other than my running.

Hey Pam! That's great news about the meds. super great. and DC - congratulations on still being below goal. Maree - I too have that FRIDAY FEELING. In a very sore body - 'cause yesterday I worked my legs during strength training and the last 3 exercises my legs trembled while I was lifting. I learned a fabulous new squat type lift that engaged the entire leg. and it's one I can do without a spotter so it'll get incorporated into my routine.
It felt soooo good to be back with my trainer. We haven't had a session in a month. September will be my strength month.

Little fluctuations still bother me after all this time. Scale is up this morning coming in at 134.8. I can never explain a two pound jump in a day (without a binge event) unless it is sodium or over exercise. In either case It still bothers me definitely changing the tone for the day. Regardless life is good and I continue to be proud of my accomplishments.
Up side is -- it keeps me on track and it is still below goal.
My best to all today. Wishing you all the same wonderful day that lies ahead for me. If all could be as blessed as I am the world would be a wonderful place.

Good morning! It's 1:00 a.m. and I'm up way too early. Last night while sitting on the bed folding clothes I surrendered to that feeling of exhaustion and stretched out "for a minute," my entire body falling fast asleep for about 30 min. I got up and finished a few chores, but decided to go to bed early when I found myself snacking to stay awake. I try to give this body what it needs when it needs it (sleep, for instance) but this is the price I pay. I've got the "packing up for the River" excitement fueling me now, but will likely crash sometime this afternoon.
Hey, my fitness assessment went well. The gym's scale said I'm about 3 lbs lighter than my home WW scale -- 145, but calculated my % of body fat at 27% as opposed to my scale which says 25.8%. He said healthy range for a woman is 24 to 29%. I'm proud to stay below 150 as Dr. Dukan's calculator said my goal weight would be 151. Goal now is to work on sculpting hips and thighs. I'm going to try a new class they offer...we'll see.
It's 30 min elliptical and 60 min. RIPPED class this morning, full day of work and then headed to the houseboat for some much needed R & R!
