OH Bess, SO sorry for your loss. We have a Lab and a Golden and the Lab is getting up in years. Waiting to hear right now if she is diabetic. It will be tough when here old body gives out, but, to lose your furry family unexpectedly has got to be even worse. Glad that you have family close by and your Spark family to grieve with - no one should ever have to endure that alone. {{{hugs}}}

GREAT JOB MJ - celebration out AND coming in below range nutritionally - WOW! - now THAT'S an ACHIEVEMENT!

Sounds like everyone has a busy, busy Labor Day weekend planned. I will be working everyday (except Sunday) and have a long(ish) run planned before church that day. Little sis is coming in to town to spend with weekend with my older sis and me and hopefully we'll get some projects done around the house.

Only two days left to the month and it looks like I'll have an ENTIRE month with every day at or below mid-weight range! WOOHOO!

Bess, I'm so sorry for the loss of your furry family member. Mako, congratulations on your anniversary. I'm feeling a bit discouraged this morning. I've started exercising and my nutrition has been good this week and my weight is up anyway. Did the second day of C25K last night because I knew I won't have time this evening. Muscles were tight to start, but got better by the end...then cramped later in the evening. I know I just have to keep at it and I'll see results, but I want results NOW! emoticon

I'm hoping to do a short run after work, then wedding present shopping for a wedding tomorrow, half day at work, then Monday off for the holiday, then Tuesday off to celebrate DH's birthday.

Bess my heart is hurting for you as I am a lab owner too, and lost my 1st lab and still miss her. Another long day working at the fair, but not 16 hours liked yesterday. Hope its not as hot and humid as it has been.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

BESSHAILE, I'm so sorry to hear about your Lab. I lost my heart dog two years ago. It is so hard and I still ache for her. Here's some emoticon . I wish there was more I could do during this difficult time. emoticon

Yesterday was my 20th wedding anniversary. We went out to dinner, but I had grilled seafood and wild rice pilaf. Overall, I did well and was slightly below my calorie range.

I hope everyone's day is a good one.

Horrible Horrible Horrible day yesterday - we found our beloved male Labrador retriever dead on the highway. He'd slipped his collar and run off to follow some doggish lure and was hit by a truck. I was sure I couldn't write a thing today - my whole body feels swollen by the effects of my tears - but I came to SparkPeople and read so many inspiring stories - so much positive loving advice to people, that I am already feeling better. I swear - I love SparkPeople.

I confess - I did violate the #backontrack tweak and had 2 ice cream bars last night, but that was the extent of my sugar/fat emotional eating. I'll go visit my aged mother this morning which will be another soothing tender thing to do. and see a sister. Life has great sadness but it has greater goodness and some of it is found right here.

Thank you spark friends.

Good morning!

Made a meatball recipe from Spark last night. It was terrific--full of veggies and my dh loved them. We eat so little meat that it was a treat without breaking a maintainers stride.

Good week getting my feet on the ground after vacation. More to do, but feeling more settled and accomplished.

I'm up. My feet hit the floor this morning and I'm thankful for that. 131.6 this morning. Thankful for that as well. although I do not get Labor Day off this is the start of my three day weekend and I am looking forward to it.

Good morning!! My last day of work -- 4 day weekend here I come! Yaaay!

Headed out for 5 mi walk with fitness buddy. We will have lots of company at houseboat this weekend. I'm planning to take good care of my health and fitness because I don't like the way I feel if I don't.
