Getting back on track. Gain weight and don't want to get on the scale. Too much weight was gain.

Good Morning team -seems the dogs have me trained. I could have slept till 6:30 this morning, and my sis actually kept the dogs in her room so they wouldn't wake me up, but sure enough 5AM I woke up, no alarm. Oh well, getting a relaxed start to the morning.

Going to the podiatrist to pick up the orthotics this AM. Volunteering at the Adventure run this afternoon/evening. It's supposed to storm/rain most of the day, so there might be a light turn out. Hoping to get to pick up my new glasses today too. Got another 12K+ steps in yesterday and the scale is still holding steady despite not being able to run and eating two rather oversized cookies yesterday.

I wouldn't get too upset over the scale Sue. I have found that it takes about 72 hours for my body to flushout a rough nutrition day. Hang in there - I'm sure the scale will catch up soon.

Linda from beantown. Talkk with your mom's DR. When my sister was in the rehabilitation and senior care center, they had some kind of meal replacement "ice cream" that they gave to many of the residents to help with weight gain. It was pre packaged, so I'm sure that it is available somewhere for sale. Maybe he can point you in the right direction.

i didn't like the scale yesterday, and so i backed off from SP - and i shouldn't do that. i knew it was salt from the evening meal the night before more than anything else, but i still went and hid. so i'm starting today facing up. scale is still not the best, 107.8, and i have to think it is salt because i just did not eat that much yesterday - and i had a 4+ mile run in the a.m. and a 7+ mile walk in the evening! perhaps the scale surprise will come tomorrow.

meanwhile, it is a gorgeous day today, may even hit 70F by afternoon, and not a cloud in sight. walking is on the agenda, and i suspect we'll be taking it easy. now for some good nutrition choices...

Linda from beantown, my mom had altzheimers and when she stopped eating my dad (an MD) got her "shakes" - i think it was something like ensure, a full nutrition replacement - to coax her to eat something. she seemed to like them well enough. maybe a thought?
