I made Black Quinoa for dinner. Delish! Also easy to cook. I plan to experiment with some whole grains I don't generally tackle: Buckwheat groats (toasted or un-toasted?), hulled barley, and amaranth. Fortunately, our local health food store stocks all these, and many more.

Well Mom is doing great. I went to see her today and she has the biggest black eye. She's feeling much better. She has gone down from Percocet to Tylenol 500 mg. that's really good for the first day after plastic surgery.
I was so tired after yesterday's ordeal that I slept about 11 hours. after that I got up drank water, ate breakfast and did a 45 minute circuit. I felt fantastic. My cals and carbs are where they are supposed to be if you don't count the cals I burn. I'm going to let my body adjust here for awhile before I readjust to include some extra cals for the workouts.
Quick check in before work. One coworker called in sick. My weight is down over a pound from yesterday, but my ring is still tight. Today we're having an ice cream social at work, so I am just making that my lunch.

I had a great night at yoga. I hadn't been there in a couple weeks. At one point the instructor stood right in front of me, facing me, leading the class through warrior two into reverse warrior. Moving with her felt poetic! I love the warrior poses. I love yoga!
Today is lower body ST today. Going to get my walking lunges on today!
Hello my dawn prowlers - I slept a little late today - trying to get in at least 7 hours a night. Yesterday was a sweet precious day back at the gym - where I had a delicious 45 minutes on the elliptical. I stayed within calorie range too. My home scale says I didn't gain anything during the big wedding party weekend but the only official weight I use is the one at my monthly WW meeting.
We're deep into training with the new software platform at work and making headway at last. We go live with it next Monday. Whew. Time to start the PSAs on the radio. oh la will I ever remember everything?

Yesterday DH and I walked a little over an hour after dinner. We enjoyed our "woods" walk. Weight is still slightly below goal :)). I can tell by the way my pants and shorts fit. I really need to stay right here and I'm determined to do so.
I'm headed to the gym at 5 am for 30 min elliptical and 60 min cycle fit class. I've got a challenging morning ahead at work so the stress level will be high.
Okay, team mates, I'm packing my lunch, including lots of fresh tomatoes in my salad! Yummy!
