Took a big weight gain. But that was back then. Today is the day to get back what I lost. Can't think about yesterday but today.

Hi Team
Busy day for me getting the spare room all cleaned up for my elderly Mom's visit. I'm starting by washing all the bedding and line drying it all.. that fresh smell will help her sleep better.

I'm so happy at the age of 89 she is still able to come and visit each year. She's had some serious health problems, but is in a good phase right now. Each visit is a blessing!!

I hope to keep up at least half my exercise regime while she's here for the week.

I don't know if I will be able to participate tomorrow.

I'm going with my Mom to have her outpatient surgery done tomorrow. It's one surgery in the am and a reconstruction surgery in the afternoon. It's going to be a long day.

Kelliebean, we have person locally who keeps wolves. They are Mackenzie Timber Wolves. I met one of the darlings at the vet. She had just had a bath/grooming. She was so delightful/friendly.

I would love to have wolves! I have a one acre yard with a high fence; but it is in the city. However, my dogs keep me happy and busy.

It is sad to think that by the year 2050 half of the world's animal species will be extinct. Human are the only animal that "soils their nest." I.e., destroys the environment in which they live.

[Yes, I would probably make an excellent, if not rabid, animal rights activist!]

So glad to see all of my teammates doing well; days filled with healthy living and fun activities.

Ugh! You don't think you use the microwave much until it quits! Those over the stove ones can be a pain to install. In our house it took my husband, one of his brothers and much swearing. 50% restocking fee seems awfully high...was it a special order? Even at that, it's usually not that high. I think you were right to take your business elsewhere.

Hi everyone,

I'm running late today because we spent the afternoon shopping for a microwave. The over the stove kind. We finally chose one, completed the long buying paperwork and just before we were going to pay for it we were told that the restocking fee if we returned it was 50 % of the purchase price ! ! ! Can you believe it. If they had told us that before the 1/2 hour of paperwork we would have never gone to that point. Needless to say we came home empty handed.

I haven't done my exercising yet but I plan to.

Yesterday was a family BBQ and I did track my points. Boy was I sorry I did that. I had a great time though and D. . . the cals!

I hope you all had as good a time as I did this weekend.

Just back from church. I envy Toni and all the others who have the opportunity for open water swimming. I don't get to do that much and I love it. I'm working myself up to recommitting to get my creeping weight under control. I think I'll be joining the new challenge, even though it pains me to have put my "center weight" higher than I want to me. It's just a good discipline to have to report my weight every week. I hope I can lose my way out of the challenge. I'll be back to work tomorrow. Routine is good and I accomplished a lot (though not as much as I'd intended) during my week off.

Good Morning Team

It's a busy weekend for me, we finished off the drywall and paint in the laundry room and I spent lots of time cleaning the drywall dust out of the kitchen and living area.. boy does that stuff get into everything.

Today is a ton of laundry and getting the spare room cleaned out for my Mom's visit.. she's coming for 5 day, arriving Tuesday. She's 89 and I'm so happy she's still able to come and visit me!

Good morning! Got up for church this morning and took the girls to the diner for breakfast afterward. Had an egg beater omelette with fruit and toast. Had guests for dinner last night and made baked Parmesan pork chops with broccolini and rigatoni with home made vodka sauce with tomatoes from the garden. It was delicious! I made lemon bars for dessert. I, too, did not track yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that I maintained by eating based upon what my body was telling me. I did not over eat and did not have any of the cheeses that I served for appetizers. Just did not feel like eating it.

Today, the girls are going to spend the afternoon and night with their grand parents, so DH and I will have a nice quiet evening to ourselves. I have a spa certificate that I have not used and I will be using it tomorrow morning after the gym since the girls will be away. emoticon

Morning everyone! My weigh-in this morning had me at my lowest number yet. I'm having a good weekend and took a bit of a break on my workouts yesterday after having a really active day on Friday. This morning I'm doing some Taebo and have a busy Sunday of cooking, errands, and studying planned.

Also, yesterday I when I was out to dinner with a couple of friends, they said they were inspired by my weight loss and were going to start getting more active! I love sparking other people!

Lots of good exercise here. Hope you have a super vacay, Toni! Bess, hope you find your exercise monitor.

Not the best exercising at my end, but not too bad, either. Swam a long distance (for me) Saturday, challenging yoga class yesterday, hoping to swim again today.

Hey Hey! Sounds like everyone is doing well... except for the sleeping.

Yesterday DH and I went on a motorcycle ride with some friends yesterday, ended up at a wolf rescue ranch I had no idea was nearby. Amazing and frightening to see these animals up close. They brought one out (on a heavy chain leash) and let all the kids pet it. YIKES. They've been domesticated but still a little unnerving watching a bunch of little kids crowd around a wolf and scratch it's belly!

Then we saw We're The Millers. FUNNY!

Today DH wants to hit the bicycle trails. Yahoo!!! Later gators!

Good morning team. I'm back from a 2 day jaunt to Charlottesville for a family wedding - and what a wedding it was - so much love and so much partying and so much fun. Su - fortunately this wedding was not near the hotel - but at a vineyard out in the country so it was only the weekend motorcycle warriors that kept me up - and I too slept late on Saturday.

I didn't bother with calorie counts at all this weekend, but I did try to listen to my body and eat and drink only what felt good. the reward was that the scale shows a respectable 148 this morning. Nice.

Bad news, though, for me. I lost my ActiveLink exercise monitor - somewhere in the house - and I really feel naked without it on. Worse yet - if I DO have to buy another one it won't be for 2 weeks. waaaah.

5:30 am here and up as usual. Early start gives me the most of my day.

What a great day! Walked a bit, swam and snorkeled a ton (maybe 90 minutes or so), and calories toward the upper end of my range but not way up. Especially considering how hungry we were after the long swim and snorkel.

good morning maintainers! had a bad night sleeping (or should i say *not* sleeping) - neighbors were having a wedding and the tradition here in sweden appears to dance until dawn or beyond. it was just a dull dunka dunka in the distance, and i am not even sure that it is why i didn't sleep, and i made up for it by sleeping late (7:30!), so all in all it's ok, just not my usual early morning style.

yesterday began with a fantastic run, clean eating all day, then not so much at dinner. and no extra walk, so steps and miles were on the low side, but given the great run, i'll live with that.

and today is a new day - have a great one!
