Picking beans already! I'm envious. Here the bush beans are barely flowering and the pole beans are still climbing. The tomatoes are beginning to blush... is there anything that says "summer" more than a tomato plant full of fruit?

Poohscout1 - Interesting question and one I wonder about too. I work out 4-5 days a week and have been riding my bike to work (15 miles round trip). I have adjusted my fitness goals so the increased minutes are reflected in my daily calorie range allowance so basically on average I eat at the top of the range on the weeks when I am exercising lots and at the bottom end on the weeks where I'm not doing as much exercise. Right now I am 2 lb under but next week I have to go to a conference out of town where I won't have my gym and will probably not get much physical activity so I'll be eating at the low end of the range until I get home and can pick up the exercise minutes. Make sense?

6 months maintaining and so far so good. Have had some ups and downs but read a great blog about predictors and steps to maintenance. I have been using the calorie and fitness trackers just as carefully as when I was losing and that really helps. I still weigh once a week (never daily, that's a disaster waiting to happen) and have also been trying to expand my exercise routines. I think, for me, that's the key, continuing to increase the duration and intensity of my exercise. As I get more physically fit I can do more which, in turn, gets me more fit and so on. I've also found that I can splurge once in awhile and still not gain significant weight. I feel more in control now than when I first met goal and hopefully that feeling will continue as I get more confident in my ability to keep the weight off. I too have yo yo dieted all my life so being able to maintain for 6 months without the weight slowing creeping back on is a milestone. Looking forward to the next 6 months of healthy eating and exercise!!

Walked 3 miles with Lesley Sansone, harvested all the spinach, made a huge batch of ratatouille, uploaded a family film to YouTube... then discovered that I had become a great-aunt. What a day!

Worked in my yard most of the day. Putting grass in bags and planting flower and mowed the yard. Wash clothes doing all of that. Plus got in my walk.

i keep reading all the post here and am becoming confused. Either i'm lazy and not eating enough calories or you guys are all exercise hounds. I read the post and the amount of exercise most of you are doing would have me losing way to much weight. I exercise about 360 mins a week with an occasional bike ride thrown in, but most of you seem to exercise almost everyday for at least a hr or so. How to do that and not keep losing? i exercise for about a hour and a half MWF in the water and sometime get in 1.45hrs and again the occassional bike ride. Am i doing something wrong or what?

Sporadic internet service meant no logging my lunch or dinner - and now I can't even remember what I ate, LOL! Ah well, it wasn't too bad, as I recall.

feeling tired and in need of extra sleep, but had enough energy for a workout and a graduation party where I couldn't pass up the food line! I don't know how I will ever be able to do that. I even had a snack before we left. Nope, that didn't work for me! Maybe next time. emoticon

So much for catching up on sleep. We were up late for no reason other than it was hot and Friday...by the time we settled in I had a sinus headache. The cats woke me up early by tearing across the bed. I might as well drink...I wake up feeling hung-over anyway! Breakfast out, a Costco run and this afternoon heading for the salmon bake at a family camp that lots of the family have gone to since my husband was a kid. He can't take a week of it, but likes to put in an appearance for a couple of hours.

Good Morning team.. not many here yet! I'm usually number 12+

I'm still trying to get bigger house chores done.. it's a slower process with arthritis, but it's getting done and that's all that counts. Yesterday I got one area rug cleaned with my upright Bissell and it came out pretty good.. The second big one I'll leave for next week as my back was screaming at me when I would try and roll over in bed..

Other than chores, it' just the regular, walk the dogs, stationary bike and yoga...

Have a great weekend folks!!! and Hi to the new maintenance sparkers..

Welcome OAKASHANDTHORN! I've never taken a class, but I have a kettle bell dvd that I love. Have fun at the fish fry, Maree! What an awesome celebration.

I haven't exercised in two days! Ugh! Will get out for either a run or strength training today. I did get a lot of chores done yesterday though. Never made it to the pool with the girls. It should be prettier today, so we will probably go.

Everyone have a great day!

lots of walking today as taking the grandson to a old car show as he loves cars so much. Its sort of like a mini fair event that they hold in the downtown area of our city. Will have to avoid all the food vendors but have decided to leave the money at home just in case. then its off to a 50th wedding anniversary this evening. Going to try and get a bike ride in later if home in time. Have a great Saturday

Welcome OAKASHANDTHORN. This is a great team that keeps me going every day.

I overate yesterday, topping it off by meeting old co-workers for Mexican after work. On the positive side, the restaurant is a block and a half from my house so I walked, I only ate half of the HUGE taco salad, I got home early enough to take the dog for a 20-min walk, then did two SP upper body strength videos.

So I'm keeping it positive on this overcast, chilly July day.

I hope everyone has a great day. Hit the reset button with me if you need to!

Good morning team and welcome to new members! Tweeking your goal weight still counts as "maintenance"!! I must admit that I don't pay attention to the calorie deficits as much as I did during my "losing" phase. I'm pretty sure I'm in deficit mode most of the time, but my body doesn't seem to want to let loose of any more weight--and there's some on my hips and thighs that could go! My focus has turned to eating healthy and staying strong. And I agree -- I love that I can grab ANYTHING from my closet or drawers and it fits!!

We are at the River but our day will be spent out on DH's uncle's farm where we are having a BIG fish fry--he invited 100 people to help him celebrate his successful cancer treatments (diagnosed a yr ago--not cured, but doing well). Beautiful weather predicted 79 degrees, sunshine. It should be a blast!

Will be careful with calories but will have lots of space to run with dogs and little kids.

Hope all have a WONDERFUL Saturday!!!
