I had a great day. Thinking about taking a kettle ball class. Anybody tried that?
I continue to show a Daily Calorie Deficit (under Reports, which is under the Start Menu).
I use a FitBit One to count calories burned (24 hours a day, including when I sleep!) and I very accurately log everything I eat. These two things make the Calorie Deficit Report very accurate.
I have lost 15 pounds, at least theoretically, since mid-April by using ONLY the calorie deficit daily numbers, which I keep in a spreadsheet. I divide the accumulated total by 3500 (the number of calories in one pound of fat). This has worked for me: no anxiety, depression, frustration, sense of failure by watching the scale go up and down by increments. Weight loss = burning more calories that we eat. I have done this every day, except for 8 days since mid-April. Actually, I need only another 80 deficit calories to reach the 15 pound weight loss. This will happen tomorrow.
My Daily Calorie Deficit accumulated total is now 52420. I can wear clothes that I haven't gotten into in several years, and I call tell that I am getting thinner by looking at my reflection!
I am so glad that I at last found a weight loss technique that for me is fun, easy, and very successful.
I am thinking about lowering my weight loss goal to 132 instead of 137. Guess I can still do that and still be a part of the Maintenance team?

Good morning team! Playing hooky from the office today. Planning on taking the girls to the pool if these clouds clear up. I was supposed to run this morning. It isn't too warm out now, maybe I'll go after my breakfast settles. Everyone have a great day!

Sleep must be in the cards! I slept fo 9 hours last night with minimal GERD symptoms.. yeahhhh, that felt good. I only got in a 30 minute yoga session this morning though, but sleep is good!!
Yesterday I came home with 10 pounds of blueberries and made a quart of jam, then froze the rest.. they are in season now, so I hope the prices remain good for a few weeks so I can put more away In the freezer.
Feeling really good today after such a great sleep..
Light day at work yesterday (at least hours wise), then P.T. and then volunteered for the Adventure Run. Had a bit too much to eat at the after party, so going to watch it easy this weekend and try to get in an hour of spin or bootcamp on Sunday. Work today and then hone to cut up oranges and zucchini slices for our ladies get together tonight.

Yesterday's strength training was all chest and upper arms. And boy did those arms work - there were a few times when they felt like rubber bands! But as I sat on the bench and looked into the mirror I really loved what I saw reflected - shoulder and upper arm definition I've never had before! woo woo.
today is rest day but I'll be taking several walks in this glorious California weather. That's what I call it when the humidity drops and the sky clears - a rarity in humid jungle-like tidewater Virginia summertime. These glorious days don't last long before the next Bermuda high crashes down on us. Got to take advantage of it.
Beloved only son will be here tonight for a 3 day weekend. it really doesn't get any better than that! Hugs to one and all.
Calories in range (mid 1400s - my best weight loss range) - and walked over 9000 steps this afternoon, walking over to the beach and back. That's when we saw this fire - came back and reported it to the campground desk Turns out it's a normal cane field burn - but wow, it looks scary!
Good morning! Finally I slept for 7 hrs last night--haven't done that all week.
Lots of fitness minutes this week as I took extra walks at lunch and after dinner all four nights. Today (It's FRIDAY--yaaaaay!!) I am headed to the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class and leaving work early to head to the River. Can't wait to see the moonlight shining across the water--hope it's still full. I'll be dancing, Bess!
