Good morning friends. I got some really disappointing career/professional news yesterday. Trying not to wallow, but I may allow myself just a couple days. I avoided the alcohol, but drowned my frustrations in tortilla chips. Skipped my workout this morning, which is the worse thing to do when you are down. Maybe I'll do something this evening.

Pt this morning on the shoulder and then home to can peaches. Use splenda in the juice so calories are lower and in middle of the winter they taste so good. Biking later this afternoon so will get some exercise in. Then getting ready for one more week of camping. Will be cabin camping instead of tenting for a change. This time I'm life guarding for our churches girls camp, so fairly easy week. Lots of time for hiking in the woods or just relaxing.
MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it
Crazy day today 0- lots of appointments out of the house, which means there's no time for my normal cycling. So, I've decided that I can walk over to BJs to get Greek yogurt. That should give me a good 4 miles of walking, which will be enough of a warm up to do weights when I get home.
Have a short (6 hour) work day today, then P.T. for the foot and then to volunteer at an adventure run. At let I get to be out in this lovely weather. Having difficulty getting motivated to do other fitness, but, I'm sure it will come again as I get into it and it doesn't seem like such a chore and I start to see the differences in my body and shape. Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I'm needing it right now. Even though I'm watching my intake right now and trying to stay at the lower to middle of my range, I am seeing a slow rise in the scale and it has only been a few days. Tomorrow night I will be getting together with my favorite ladies and that always means food. I think I'm going to get some watermelon or veggies and a hummus/salsa dip to bring.

Good morning my friends. We too are having delicious weather today - not into the 50's but into the 60's ... which is sweet to feel floating through the windows. I've propped the front and back doors open to let the air circulate. ahhh. what i wouldn't give for a whole summer of days like this!
I was HUNGRY all day yesterday. I was careful about my snacks - making them nuts and nut butter so that I'd have filling protein and healthy oils but you know they put me over my daily calories. Dinner was our favorite tofu stir fry, which finally satisfied but I hope today I don't eat all over the place. This morning will be a strength training session with the trainer. I wonder what he'll want me to do today. It's always something different.

Good morning! 59 degrees this morning; I may have to dig out a jacket for my 5 mi walk with fitness buddy this morning! She just returned from a week in Colorado so I am looking forward to hearing about her adventures; it used to be one of my family's favorite vacation destinations before we bought the houseboat. Great idea, Celia, swimming lessons. I did a sprint triathalon several years ago and swimming was my weakness. Lucked out 3 days before the event when leptospirosis was discovered in our lake. So we ran, biked, ran and I placed 2d in age group. Ah, memories. Logould--injury sidelines suck, but I see those creative juices flowing in finding alternative workouts. Go get 'em, girl!
