Late check in. Tonight is steak night, enjoying some of the grass fed beef from my meat CSA. Hearing about all the hot weather, I feel really blessed to live where I do...it's been warm, but not nearly what the rest of the country has to endure.

It's going to be a scorcher today so I am not sure how I am going to squeeze my run in. Oh well....There's always the treadmill, or (heaven forbid) ST. It seems like I avoid ST like the plague.

Maree inspired me to get my second cuppa before reading this thread.
Another VA person checking in from Woodbridge (near Quantico Marine Corps Base south of DC), though I work in Silver Spring, MD (nasty commute). I brought gym clothes to work but decided to take a light day after yesterday's run + ST, so I did my stair game (start at my floor (13) and go up 2 flights/down 1 till I reach the top (19th) floor, then down 2/up 1 till I reach the bottom). Even the stairwell was sweltering, so I headed outside after that for a short walk before getting my eggs at the little cafe.
The last few days, I've been avoiding alcohol while DH is out of town to see if I can tell the difference, and I really can. I feel more energetic in the morning, and I'm actually having trouble getting enough calories, because my daytime eating is the same, but my dinners are not high in calories because DH isn't here to cook for. Also, because I'm consciously avoiding alcohol, that effort bleeds over to the mindless snacking problem, which also isn't happening.

Having kind of a low self-esteem week (which I know is moodiness about issues that *don't* have to do with my appearance -- still, when your appearance is your old punching bag, it's hard not to go back to that), so I started the day by looking at some old pictures and compared to new pictures to remind myself of my progress.

Good morning. Slow moving this morning but I have to get going before the heat come up. Have pick beans out the garden and get my walk in. If it get to hot before I get my walk in outside I will walk in the hoyse for 40 minutes. Don't do sport bras good luck to you with them. Have a bless day everyone.
Good morning from central wisconsin which has been hot and humid also. Getting ready to leave for 4 days of cub scout camp with my grandson joseph. Will have lots of hiking up and down hill so exercise will be no problem, but food is a little harder to control. As for sports bra i have no issue because i'm so flat on top i don't need one. As my father use to say " i'm a carpenters dream.......flat as a board or 2 eggs over easy lol
MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

DEADCENTER and "cheers to all of you for a fantastic Thursday. Up and getting ready for work, then home to ST in between wrapping my sis's birthday present and making a batch of Cowboy Candy (sweet pickled jalepenos). Kind of a second present for her, they are one of her favorites. Nothing better than slicing 4 pounds of jalepenos! LOL! Weight is holding steady even if the heat and humididty is putting a cramp in my weekly mileage. Have a healthy living challenge going on at work and it is helping me to stay a little more accountable. Supposed to storm tomorrow and then temp and humidity are supposed to go down. I hope so, LONG run scheduled for early Saturday AM.

Hi. Third VA resident chiming in. We live in Alexandria but are blessed with a lake place near Fredricksburg. No argument from me: it is HOT. And as for sport bras...some of them are real puzzles to me. And like a wet bathing suit...hard to move!! Lol. The things we do to Spark on...
Quiet day today for me. I am getting my hair cut tho. Always feels nice. Am going to do a session with Jillian in the morning.

LOL Maree - yes! Why are those things so bloomin' hard to get on and off! And welcome Deadcenter. I'm a VA girl too - but east and south of Fredericksburg. I call it Upper Tidewater since the river here is tidal.
Yesterday was a cra-cra-crazy day. Every moment was booked with things I was late getting to. But it did get done and the day did end and I ate a little too much (like you, Maree, I have to go add to yesterday's totals. bummer) And not a single moment to exercise.
Today I'm off to the beach with a girlfriend for 2 days of sun, ocean, and shopping. I can't wait to feel those ocean waves crashing over me. The sea, the sea, the salt salt sea.

Happy Thursday to you as well. What a great attitude. Thursday starts my three day weekend. Looks like I am up as early as you. Scale was very good to me this morning setting the tone for the day.
Very hot here here as well. I am in central Virginia and the humidity is terrible. Trying to do some outside stuff while it is relatively cool.
Need friends here as I just came over from Fatsecret at the beginning of June. When do you say. Want to buddy up?

Good morning. Only 4.5 hrs of sleep--it's hot, I've got a lot to do, and when I couldn't get back to sleep after a bathroom break, I just decided to get up. DD and grandD are coming Friday night so I've got to get some cleaning, etc. done! Mammogram this afternoon--routine check. Audit yesterday went swell-no problems found. :)))
DH and I walked a shady trail for a little over an hour after dinner. Nutrition was on track (although I need to add to my Tracker).
This morning I'll head to the gym at 5 a.m. to do some treadmill intervals for 30 min and then a Pilates class for 60 min. Does anyone else ever feel like the reason you work out is so you can get that sports bra on and off? Especially in this humidity--my pullover style sticks to my skin and I have to grab the back and pull with all my might to get it down. Ah, the joys of working out!!
