Today's workout:
Cardio, core, two Sparkpeople videos, stretching.
Participated in dragonboat races today and walked around the race site for about an hour.

Reeaaalllyyy late check in!!

Ran 4 mi by myself this morning as DH not feeling well :((. He plans to call a doctor tomorrow--pretty drastic for him. Hope he can get some relief

We spent two days in the sun, on the river, in the water, laughing with friends, singing along with our tunes up loud. It's finally s u m m e r !!! Love it!

Celia, sorry to hear about your DH's daughter, stomach problems are so hard to diagnose it seems. I've been struggling with mine for over 25 years! Just recently my H. Pylori test came back negative and so it's back to the "mystery" and the Dr. just telling me it's GERD.

I've been doing pretty good and getting my chores done, a bit each day.. I make exercise a priority as that's what really keeps my pain levels down.

The sun is out, laundry is hanging out and next it's walk the dogs..

Morning everyone! It looks like my hard work over the last week and a half getting back into my nutrition and fitness routines post-vacation have paid off - it appears I've lost the little I gained on my trip, plus a little extra. In fact, this is the lowest weight I can recall being since I was in college!

Anyway, can't rest on my laurels! I've got Taebo and a mile and a half walk to do this morning, not to mention menu planning and grocery shopping. Time to get to it!

Celia, sorry to hear about your DH's daughter. I hope her next trip to a doctor is the one that gives her an answer. I was diagnoses with Crohn's disease fairly quickly (in months, not years) after I finally went to the doctor, but only when I pushed the doctor who said he thought it might be a "rumbling appendix" to send me to a surgeon so I could get on with it already! The second the surgeon started examining me he noticed a "great huge lump" that the GP hadn't. It was a grapefruit sized swelling around the diseased part of my guts. So sometimes doctors can even miss obvious things...especially when you look young and healthy.

I had a great day yesterday celebrating my husband's birthday. Eating wasn't great (No fruits or vegetables? Really? Could I count the salsa as a veg? The sangria as a fruit?), but that's unfortunately pretty typical for a Saturday. We went on the biplane ride--it was a beautiful day and a lot of fun. In the evening we joined friends to watch roller derby. Husband didn't get his ice cream, so that'll happen some time today.

To top it all, I get to post a one pound loss for the week! emoticon

It must be the change in the weather or some lunar cycle - because I woke at 2:30 and never went back to sleep.Ugh. I'm done with summer humidity. Where is October when you need it?

Celia - sending prayers and healing thoughts to your stepdaughter.

I made it through the bridal shower without overeating and I'm really pleased about that. Fortunately the desert was cupcakes which I like alright - but find easy to pass up. It's hard to figure out what the calorie count is for party food - I always estimate at 50 calories a bite unless it's a fruit or veggie. My scales are holding me at 147 which is good enough for me.

Think I'll be a veggie myself, today, in this dank heat.

Good morning team!
Had a good day yesterday. Got my strength training in and some laundry. Ate good most of the day, but splurged at dinner. We didn't end up going to the pool after all. Probably won't today either as it is supposed to rain.

Think I will get a run in today and do some chores. Everyone have a great day!

Not a good weekend with DH gone. It seems worse right now, because he had to ditch work and go see his daughter, who is having a lot of abdominal pain the doctors can't seem to pin down. Throwing up level of pain, the kind that has to be caused by something. She did not need some quack suggesting it's all in her head. This has been going on for years, and she has had just about every test known to mankind except for a laparoscopy. I think it's well past time. Thanks for letting me vent.

Oh my goodness...this is the second morning in a row of getting up before 5AM after working late and not getting to bed until 11:30 or 12. BLECH! Yesterday sstarted with a 5K at a lake about 45 mins from the house. I did much better than I thought considering my heel pain, the heat, no shade and new shoes. Thirty two minutes...not too bad. I was so busy and tired that I didn't get around to tracking my nutrition. Pretty sure that I went over though and WAY too much sugar. Starting off today back on track. Hope to get a nap later or at least get to bed SUPER early. One more day of work before a day off (of course, the schedule for that day is pretty full - getting a perm and then my ladies group and I have homework to do before that). Hope all of you enjoy what's left of your week-end!

Had a great afternoon with a friend, sightseeing - then healthy Vietnamese food for dinner. Calories toward upper end of range but not over, walked over 3.5 miles all told - not bad for a rainy day.

It's Sunday and I had a restless sleep night. Now what I expected, but what can you do. Will take it slow today, at lest to get started.

Eating well and lots of activity yesterday. Great to be outside most of the day. My son acquainted us with some new sushi last night and we had fun talking while we sampled.
