Late check in...another busy work day, TGIF! Tomorrow is my husband's birthday. He's trying to lose a little weight, so I'm trying not to spoil him with food, though I did make him a favorite meal tonight--chicken fried steak with biscuits and gravy. I've never made it before--he usually orders it when we go out for breakfast. It was good, but I don't make a habit of frying! Tomorrow we're going for a biplane ride and then in the evening going to the roller-derby. I asked him if he wanted a cream pie for his birthday or if he just wanted to get ice cream out some time this weekend. He chose the ice cream!

Hi everyone! Having a good week of getting back on track after one week off on vacation. Got a chance to get back to my work out yesterday and this morning and made a new recipe last night. We had spicy fish tacos from the SP cookbook. They were delicious and my hubby loved them. Have a great day!

Morning everyone! Kind of a late check-in for me, but I figured I could come over here later so that I had enough time at home this morning to finish my Taebo. I feel like I've been doing a good job staying in range (and on the low end as well) on top of doing all of my workouts. I'm interested to take my measurements this weekend to see if I've lost any additional inches because all of my pants have been feeling a little looser. Since I've been maintaining my weight within the same 2 pound range in the last 6 weeks, I feel like that could be a good sign that I'm losing some body fat and replacing it with muscle. It is harder for me to notice progress these days (and it's been awhile since I've measured myself), but I have recently gotten comments from people who think I am still losing weight when I haven't been, which also makes me think my body composition is changing a bit.
Tonight I am having a party at my house. Of course socializing is always a time when it's harder to stay in range with calories, I am trying to provide as many homemade healthy snacking options as possible: hummus (with very little oil), veggies, kale chips, low-sugar (but delicious!) mint-lavendar iced tea, etc. I did make some fairly decadent raspberry blondie bars, but I am going to cut them up into pretty small pieces.
My pain levels have been down and I've been able to get some of the big housework chores done. I've been cleaning my carpets and have 3 area rugs left to go. A bit each day and soon they will all be done. Next it's on to the windows and screens and a few a day will get those taken care of also. I hope this less pain streak lasts and as long as I don't overdo it, I am hopeful it will!

HI. Its Judi. I weighed this morning and I have lost another pound. Puts me 1 pound under my goal. I don't want to keep losing weight but I guess that is better than gaining. I don't know. I have never been able to maintain before and I am bound and determined to make it this time. Anyway, that is where I am today. Have a good day, y'all.
Kellibean, my 'baby' just turned 33 a week ago, so I know how you feel. I don't know if it because I miss my little girls so much or if it is because she is a reality check on how old I am getting. ha! ha! Today is my grandson's 6th birthday so tonight will be a compromising day on the food end. Going out for the party! Fun. Can't wait for this one -- my grandson is the most animated kid and I am sure it'll be a blast watching him get excited opening his gifts.
Now, the motorcycle ride sounds absolutely wonderful. Would love to visit Canada.
Weigh in today was 121.6 my lowest ever! . . . I have never been below 122, this is good since tonight I'll be allowing some 'extras' into my evening menu. I've been maintaining well since Dec.
Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Seems like we are finally getting a break here from the oppresive heat and rain for a few days. My woek schedule is nuts, as always, but I am going to take advantage of this break the weather to get up early and get in a run...even if it does mean that I need to go home and take a nap before work afterwards.
I did opt for the new tracker option. I know there is no switchiback, but, if figured that I know what my original goals are for each macro and micro nutritent now and it is helpful for me to make sure that I DO eat enough on active days so that I don't lose my energy or worse yet overeat later because I skimped. Plus, it does give me the incentive to add more fitness minutes and calories to my day if I want some extra to eat. I'm liking it okay so far. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Whew Maree - that IS good news. And like you - I'll pass on the new tracker for now. BTW, it's raining right now. One dog slept in the dog house and dashed inside as soon as I opened the door - the other one is still in his lair on the other side of the lawn and probably won't come out till the rain stops.
It felt SO good to be back with my PT yesterday. It's been a month - and we worked chest and upper back and I can tell we did today. I've got that delicious ache of muscles that have worked hard - but safely. Eating is so much more normal this week.
Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. I am fine! The very small bump on my abdomen just above my belly button is a ventral hernia and has become visible because of reduced body fat, it was likely caused by my pregnancy 38 yrs ago. No worries and I may be able to get it to close through upper ab work. Whew!
I'm gonna skip the new tracker based upon what I've read so far. Will stay tuned though.
At gym today I'll do 30 min elliptical or bicycle and 60 min RIPPED class. This afternoon we will head to the river for a blissful weekend in the houseboat. Yaaay!
