Back to work today. Still not well, but getting better. Backed up at work as 2/3 of the staff were out yesterday...me and one other. We're making the third earn her vacation next week! Bad news about getting better is that my appetite is returning.

Morning everyone! I'm trying to get back into the groove today with work and my normal routine, though sleep was tough with the time change and travel yesterday (not to mention being away from work for a week!), so it's been a challenge this morning. I don't think I look any different than I did a week ago, nor do I have any reason to believe that I lost any weight or inches over vacation, but I've gotten multiple comments from co-workers today about looking slimmer than ever. Maybe that is just the result of them not seeing me for a week? Either way, it's flattering. Plus, I really wanted to make sure to have a healthy and balanced vacation, so it does help me feel like even though I didn't get quite as much movement or make all the healthy choices that I had been hoping to, that didn't create a major setback.
Just got in from a 3 mile run. It was nice and cool out this morning. Still working to get my vacation gain off. Going to focus on water. Put a water tracking app on my phone. It also has an alarm to go off to help me remember to drink.

Nancy, hope hubby is back to 100% FAST! Celia, how exciting about your Spark Radio interview! Is there a link we can use to hear it? I don't stream much of the Spark content because it eats up my internet allowance, but for a special event......well, THAT would be worth it!
Still working my way down from the indulgence of this past weekend, but have snacks and lunch packed and ready as I can be for another hectic couple of days at work. Got the linens done, groceries done and a crockpot of green chicken chili ready. Want to try to get another meal prepped for the weekend, but we'll see. Need to make beds tonight and wash floors and clean the guest room/bathroom when I get home from work and to bed at an early enough hour to make it out for a run before work tomorrow.
Hoping the weather clears and we finally get a couple days of sun for the holidy. Wishing everyone a terrific Tuesday!

May have to swim to work today - it's raining again. Dank and wet but I'd still rather have this than the weather in the southwest. Prayers for all who are threatened out there.
Back at the gym at last - and it was fun. It's been 2 weeks and their cable service was wonky as it cycled through serious data changes so I couldn't watch television while I used the elliptical. I also only did 30 minutes since it's been so long. Felt great, slept like a baby. today I'll do some weights along with my cardio.
Today is also weigh-in for July - this is the official weigh in I use if I'm asked to state my weight. I step on the scale daily - monitoring without getting bent out of shape - but I only "count" this weigh-in. I think I'm good, too, but just in case, I'll wear my featherweight clothes.

I just finished a fun light mystery called The Perfume Collector. It's a bit of an adventure into the world of how perfumes were developed way back when. I was in the mood for Paris, perfume, pretty clothes... You know THAT mood. Anyway, thought I'd toss it out to you. Bess, thanks for the inspiration to read mysteries!
Have put restaurant life behind me from last weekend and the few extra pounds from that have slipped away. Probably just water from the salt, but I'll take it.

Computer keyboard and mouse needs to be replaced on my Mac so typing on my phone is slow. Need to go to the store. Someone is coming to fix the leak in our pool today hopefully. Looking forward to my FIL coming to paint today.

I'm headed to the gym for 30 min cardio and 60 min Pilates class. I got extra walks in yesterday at lunch and after dinner. Glute muscle is feeling a little better.
