Today we traveled 2.5 hours down to a "celebration of life" for my husbands uncle that passed away a few weeks ago then drove back.. got back in time to walk 1 mile to lake run 3 miles and walk 1 mile back.....
still only did 2.88 miles in the 30 minutes ... I truly hope what they say about adrenaline of race day pushing you faster... it is 4 days away and I want to do 3.1 miles in 30 minutes or less....

The upside of being sick is that my appetite is off. It's hot for here, but I hate to complain when I have friends in Las Vegas! I went out to keep my husband company while he worked on the boat (not enough wind to sail) and between the gas fumes and the heat we just about did ourselves in! Feeling better day by day, but still not well.
It's a beautiful sunny day and I wish I didn't have so many inside chores to take care of, but I was up early and the bread is rising, and I'm thinking about putting a few things off for tomorrow so I can enjoy the day a bit more.. good plan I think!!!

Morning everyone! I haven't been on in the morning to do check-in the last couple of days, but I'm having a great time here in Boston with my friends, and today is the big wedding day. I've had to do a lot of guesstimating with my food, but am doing my best to track it on here and listen to myself about what the right amount to eat is. I've also been doing a daily workout and have tried to get in a lot of movement on top of that. Today I will be doing lots of dancing at the wedding reception for sure. =) Have a great day everyone!

Good morning team! All laced up and headed out for a run before it gets too hot. I have a lot of housework that I need to get done. Also have to get my meals planned and groceries bought for the week. Guess I better get off of the computer and get at it!

Hi everyone. I'm new here and on my 4th week of maintenance. So far so good. I'm finding all the summer picnics and parties at this time of year to be a real challenge. I've been taking it one day at a time and maintaining so far!
Yesterday was pretty warm but not so hot I didn't want to go outside. After all the housework was done I took the dogs on a 2 mile loop walk through the woods. Coming home I was surprised to see that Himself had repaired the bridge over the middle swamp! When I got home he was back from a sail and I congratulated him on doing such a huge task last week when it was so hot.
"I fixed that bridge weeks ago - in May I think!"
I didn't believe him. (still don't but hey - he's the one who did the work)."NO WAY!" I argued - "I just took the girls down that path last week and it wasn't fixed then!"
He's still laughing at me for not noticing. My excuse was that I came at the bridge from the other side this time - not my usual pattern - and I was taking little suburban girls deep into the forest, so I was paying attention to them. the happy news is - the bridge is fixed. If it lasts as long as the old one - that'll be another 35 years.
The sunlight dappled the forest all afternoon - with a breeze to make the leaves dance and the heart sing.
I just read yesterday's posts. Great activity out there. I hope all of the health issues clear up very soon!
I signed up for the MapMyFitness app Tour De France challenge. I road my bike for an hour yesterday. I fell into grass and a bush trying to avoid a little one on a turn on a path. Need to have DH tighten my seat that got knocked a bit crooked. I was just glad that was all that got knocked crooked!
Reading about everyone's runs yesterday, I think I'm going to hit the road myself this morning.
Good morning everyone, happy Sunday! Stopping by quickly to wish you well. Two restaurant meals yesterday. While I didn't eat huge amounts, the scale always reflects at least the salt gain. Back to basics today for me!
