Hi All, I took the dogs out for a walks today. I took Mom to the grocery store. I took Mom to church. I made turkey chili for super tonight. It was good and I have left overs for tomorrow. Linda from bean town

Good morn (er, I mean afternoon) team. Late checking in because I stayed out late a a ladies bonfire at church last night and then had to get up early to go work in the community garden. Finished up there just in time for the rain to start again. Kind of went overboard on some delish mexican pasteries, so I'll be needed to stick with veggies and low fat protein for the rest of the day and will probably still go over

I might not make perfect choices, but every time, I'm making better choices than "old me." " Old me, would have chucked the day and REALLY lost it. I know that I can't go the rest of the day with NO food, but I can make wise choices from here on out.

Last couple of days have been bad for food, and yesterday was the busiest telework day I've ever had. My butt hardly got out of the chair except for taking the car to the shop and retrieving it. I even had to listen in (hands free) on a telcon on the way back from the shop. I was mentally exhausted, but I got a LOT of work done. Then I vegged on the couch with too much food and wine. Sure glad DH is home now, since I do so much better when he is here. We will try a new white bean hummus recipe today to use some of his fresh thyme.

It was a busy appointment week for me and I missed quite a few check in days. Doing pretty good with nutrition and fitness. Still battling the gastric problem and Dr is sending me for a test to check for H Pylori. I have to go off my acid reducer meds for 4 days prior, which means more distress.. I sure would be happy to get this old and chronic problem sorted!!!

I'm still sick, but think I'm getting better. I was low on nutrition yesterday, but since I didn't do much except lounge around watching junk TV, I think it's just as well. We're expecting a hot weekend. My husband needs to drive quite a distance to get back the sailboat keys that he leant to a friend while we were on vacation. He says he thought about going by himself because I'm sick, but then decided that a long ride in an air-conditioned car would probably do me good! Weight is going down slowly, still about 4 lbs before I get back to pre-vacation weight, 8 before I'm back to goal.
I ran 4 miles this am and eating well so far. Looking forward to my 10k race on the 3rd w/my dh and buddy. might get a few more friends to sign up :) My eating and sleeping has been poor since my girls got their tonsils out they were up every other hour last night crying. Hopefully they will feel better soon.

Good morning, team! I'm happy to be checking in from the hotel in Hermiston, Oregon. I brought all of my pre-weighed snacks that can sub as emergency meals if the family barbeque has iffy options today. I used to use travel as an excuse to pig out and not exercise, but I brought all of my workout stuff and I'm heading to the hotel gym in about a half an hour! Thanks, Spark team, for giving me a healthy "landing pad" to remember to make the best choice I can today. I might not make perfect choices, but every time, I'm making better choices than "old me."

On my feet a lot yesterday but still no formal exercise. Today there is certainly a workout's worth of house cleaning to do and it will come with the reward of a sparkling living room. And some outdoor play. The spring fly season is over and we're even promised some cooler weather by tomorrow. It's truly the good o'l summertime around here.
Learned something I won't do again - and that's eat full fat ice cream sandwiches. Ugh! way too many calories - even if they are yummy. To stay within my weekly calories now I'm gong to have to be very sober in my choices this weekend. Happily - I have some dee-lish recipes to cook up.
I checked the radar yesterday after work, all rain had moved out, I headed out running and decided to see if I could push myself to six miles instead of five. Sudden rain and thunder at 3miles so I turned toward home. It stopped quickly so I went for four. I heard thunder again so I cut myself off at four.
