I tried to tough it out, but gave up and came home. It's just a cold, but I feel wretched. Since I've taken an immunosuppressive drugs I find that I don't get sick any more often, but when I do get sick, I get sicker. Upside is, my throat is so sore that I don't feel much like eating.
Today's workout: Cardio, core, weights, two Sparkpeople videos, stretching. Threw another Sparkpeople video into the mix: ''Xtend Barre: Lean & Chiseled" Creative Core workout. An alternative to my typical crunches and bicycle crunches.
Good morning team! I slept in this morning. Playing hooky from the office to take the girls swimming. I have so much work piled up. I really should've worked at least half a day, but I suppose it will all still be there on Monday. Indulged in way too much pizza yesterday. DH and I have cards tonight, I need to go easy on the beer. About to go out for a quick run before it gets too hot.

Good morning team - and MUCH THANKS to each and everyone of you for the well wishes on my three year maintenance anniversary. I am overwhelmed! I will get around to thanking each of you personally, but unfortunately it can't be this morning as I am getting ready to rush of to work. Going to meet up for a bonfire gathering with some lady friends this evening and tomorrow, instead of traveling 40 mins to run a 5K, I am going to run to a volunteer program with the community garden and then run home before work. That will allow for lighting on Sunday and then doing my strength training/cross training at home and rest. Yesterday was a LONG day, but the extra little sleep really helped. I had work and then raced off to church for lighting practice during my lunch and then back to work and back to church after that. Didn't get home till after 10 and then had to get a couple of chores done in prep for my baby sister and her family's visit over the fourth of July weekend. Today

So ready for Friday to get here. Had a wonderful deep sleep last night - a welcome relief after the steroid induced buzz from the night before. Ready to jump into today.
After an enormous lunch I chose just fresh tomato sandwiches for dinner and a beautiful evening walk with the dogs. I'll use the rest of the weekend to ease back into my beloved exercise routine and be back at the gym on Monday. Still toying with picking up a Jillian Michaels dvd .... any suggestions for a first pick?

I'm looking forward to a weekend with lots of time reclaiming my garden. I've been working at weeds for a few days and am making progress. All the rain here has made my bushes explode with growth so I will be doing some summer pruning...not the best, but necessary. The up and down and all around of being out there is good exercise so I'm working in lots of activity this way.
Had a fun day yesterday out shopping with a friend. Have a good weekend everyone!

Congrats Logould on your 3 yr anniversary and thanks for your insight (HALT)!! It really is listening to what our bodies REALLY need. Enough sleep is a big element in this fitness journey. I gave my emotional speech at the retirement luncheon, voice got all wavey, but there was no doubt that it came from the bottom of my heart. I laid down as soon as I walked in the door after work as I knew what I needed more than dinner was sleep after only getting 4 hrs the night before.
This morning I could run a 5K at the park with an organization I belong to but it doesn't start until 7 which would make me late so I think I'll stick to my usual Friday 30 min elliptical 60 min RIPPED class. River bound this afternoon!! DH and I will run tomorrow AM
