Had a safe trip to Bean town. Did my walking. Had to walk alot of stairs. Getting ready to go to my grandson graduation. Going to walk and get my granddaughter.

Day 2 at Boy Scout Camp so lots of walking up and down hills and trails for exercise. Doing ok on keeping the food intake within bounds. Misquitoes are really bad, so maybe losing weighat that way too. LOL Have a good day everyone.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

I changed my ticker back to weight loss mode yesterday afternoon. Back to tracking food, but haven't been very active. I still have some lingering post-vacation sinusitis and I'm really tired. I'm still getting back into routine and things aren't quite back to their normal state. The scale was down a pound and a half this morning, so I'm not sure where my post-vacation weight is going to stablize. I know it's still too high, so it's back to business! Poor Bess! I know that feeling, eating too much and knowing that it wasn't even good. My brain always wants a do-over! New day, better choices! emoticon

Good morning team!

It is supposed to be 101 degrees here today. Ugh. Glad I got my strength training in early. Still working on getting my vacation weight off. Lost 1.4 lbs the first week. The word today will be "WATER". Really need to focus on getting enough, especially in this heat.

woke up this morning to rain... so no run yet.... have a dr appt at 11 and a workout session with trainer at 2 so maybe in between I can get a run.... rain has stopped and maybe it dry out by then..just be muggy....

Have to make sure today everything in my garden is ok. I leave tomorrow for a few days of vacation. I wouldn't really call it all vacation I have to see the doctor as well. I have two doctor appointments. Thursday and Friday. So I have to make sure that the grass is out. Everything coming up so beautiful. By the tome I get back my squash and zucchini should be up. I was planning a walk this morning outside--but I may need to rethink that. Forecast says SVR storms all day :( I don't mind the rain--but the wind and lightning kinda wrecks the plans to be outside. I guess I'll check the class schedule at the Y--I have been thinking about checking out the Zumba classes they do there.

Yesterday was a rough day, it may trickle into today but I'm forcing myself to dump the negativity!

The storm last night and being on call for work killed my workout plans but whacha gonna do. LIfe happens. We'll see if I can squeeze some activity in tonight.

Good morning. Boy, LOGOULD, nothing like the excitement of a big tree down in the neighborhood. Glad all the people are okay, as well as your car. And Bess--sorry the ice cream wasn't that great, but love your "Ah well" attitude. Onward, as we say.

I made a blackberry crisp on Sunday which was--and probably is--mighty good. Done with that. Wasn't quite a splurge, but definitely a treat and not part of the simpler eating style I need to maintain my weight loss. Still, seasonal and pretty, I have to say. Worth sinning for as we sometimes say around here?

Serious workout planned for today. I'm going to give it my all!

Ooops. fell off my streak yesterday with two bowls of ice cream - the sad thing was that it wasn't even very good ice cream. emoticon

Ah well. Today is a new day and I am starting it with a ginger/spinach/banana smoothie we call Green Drink in this house. Not made with milk, but with lite V8 Fusion - though you can use water and pineapple juice too. The ginger is for my lingering sore throat. bleh.

And today I'll get back to the gym - yippee!

Whoa - storms yesterday - rained off and on all day, but last nights sqwall took down half of the neighbors tree across the street. Thank God that was all the damage (missed my car by just 10 feet) and no people were hurt, but it took the city 2-3 hours to get the street clear.

Thankfully, I got in a little workout yesterday, mostly abs and arms and a little time on the bike. Still VERY sore from Sundays run, so I've been using a massager to try to work out some of the lactic acid.

Working 7-4 today and then going to do a little strength training since I'll be doing a run tomorrow AM, if it isn't pouring rain again.

Need to stick to clean eating for the rest of the week - scale jumped THREE pounds this morning and I know that the majority of it is way to much sugar and carbs last night. Got to just leave the sugar alone!

Enjoy the gardening today! It is so gratifying to grow veggies and then put them on the table to eat. Love that! Looks to be another beautiful day. Really love these daily check ins. Gives me a way to review yesterday and look forward to today.

Ate more than my fair share of vacation indulgences yesterday, but I am ok with it. Still tracked everything as a maintenance newbie and rode my bike everywhere. Looking forward to the beach and some bike riding again today. Enjoy your day.

Have had an eventful week....we are settling into a routine with hubby being off work. He has a video interview about the Atlanta job on Thursday. Still holding out hope that something in Michigan will open up and we won't have to move.

We went canoeing and fishing yesterday. So fun!

Looks hot and rainy today. We're going for a short jog this morning, then I'm going to try and get out in the garden for some weeding. My lettuce, spinach and radishes are the only thing we can harvest so far, but the summer squash, beans and broccoli are coming up nicely.

Hope your glutes are better. The foam roller sounds like a good idea. My achilles tendon has been a bit sore, so I'm wrapping it and stopping my run at the first sign of pain. I had to take 3 months off a couple of years ago, so I'm watching it closely.

Your posts about grandchildren are making me miss mine. We skyped 5 of them yesterday!

Good morning, Tuesday June 25! Whoa, where did April come from yesterday! Thanks for overlooking that blunder and replying anyway! Hope the tonsils came out A-okay.

I walked at noon with a friend and again after dinner with DH, trying to work out the muscle ache from Saturday's run. I "poured on the coals" at the end of the race and felt the glute muscle scream at me, just like it did last summer when I attempted the water ski. I've been using the foam roller, too. It's feeling better today.

Treadmill for 30 min, Pilates for 60 min at the gym is my Tuesday agenda.

Quiet house after DD and granddaughter left yesterday. Like you, Bess, now it's getting back to routine--great memories of the good times we had, cleaning the whirlwind of "stuff" that accumulated and catching up. I may give the scale an extra day or two as I'm sure the extra calories are there staring up at me disapprovingly. But I shall conquer them!
