It's been a beautiful day--just lying low, and staying out of the sun as much as I can--
hung out a load of laundry this morning and did household chores. I'm knee deep into the book, WomanCode, after hearing the author speak on SP Radio a while back, and it's very interesting.

Enjoying a wonderful day at home! Perfect in every way!

Trying to finish an online class, but the conditions are perfect for just about anything I want to do. I am chomping at the bit to get out and do some outdoor stuff -- mowing, walking, weeding and the like. But, this class has a deadline . . . ugh!

Got my hair cut yesterday -- not sure if I'll like it. I have normally thick, natural curly hair and after a chemical straightening, this girl took the heat straightener to my hair and my hair is now stick straight. Not at all what I am accustomed to seeing--the volume is about 1/3 of normal also. I think I have lost some of my hair . . . The cut, I think, is OK. Just not used to stick straight hair.

Staying on track. Feeling a little extra hungry today -- maybe I'll have an extra piece of chicken for supper tonight??? Going to stop for a break and a little watermelon . . .

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Mornin all. Looks like everyone is doing well. Happy Hump Day!

I got in a good brisk walk on break at work. We have a nice path with a couple decent inclines. Then I took the dog for a walk before dinner, then hit the elliptical to knock off a square on my monthly health challenge at work.

Trying to figure out when I will get a run in the next few evening. It's going to start getting hot here. So far I haven't to run in the heat this season.

Good for you Bess. I went to a synagogue event, and was really careful with what I at. I left 1/2 the rice, most of the chicken and meat, and at beans and corn. but no real veggies at the meal. So I guess I did not do too wll and it shows on the scale.

I need to recommit to staying in range with my calories.

We Got Rain.

Boy did we get rain. Sadly I didn't get anywhere near the exercise I normally get - I have 2 delightful guests and I don't want to make them sit around waiting while I workout at the gym. We planned to go canoeing and swimming but the rain changed that. Instead we went to the movies with more cousins. (I live in the Land-0-Cousins) Now the sky is clear, the humidity is down and we have horseback riding for after work! and I'll take my dogs for a walk in 10 minutes.

OTOH - I ate my restaurant lunch S L O W L Y yesterday and decided I was really only hungry enough for 1/2. the other half is in box and will be my lunch today! Too cool, huh?

Hope you all find your pace today on this happy hump day.

Good morning team!


So, my running buddy cancelled on me (again) yesterday. Looking at a different schedule as I need to work on exercise consistency more than anything right now. Wieght held steady and I will be heading out shortly to do the walk/run @ the homeless shelter and then will get in another run of my own. Working after that from 12-9 and then back early to work the next day. Don't know how I will ever get consistent with setting aside fitness time, but I know that others do it, so - I can too.

On a better night, I meet with a new group of ladies for a study last night. Goodies were served.....veggies, dip, cookies, etc and guess what I ate - NOTHING! That's right!!! I said it - NOTHING! I had eaten dinner just before, and had my water, so I by passed everything. WOOHOO! Now THAT'S a big victory for me!

Hope all of you have days full of focus on your goals and victory over your temptations! Make it a GREAT one!

Good morning, team. I think I found a good yoga teacher yesterday and was pleased to get a good stretching workout at class yesterday. Up two pounds and settling into careful tracking and focus on my goals. I think creeping bad habits are potentially the biggest hazard for me in maintenance. My lecture to self: "steady girl, you know the drill."
