Only 45 mins continuous walking, but have done nearly 15000 steps! Am just beginningmto ease back into cardio after being unwell and out of action for 6 weeks. 8 minute workout. Bought a sushi maker and some silicone muffin holders and lots of spices etc thatnI cant get atnhome. I am in Tirana, the capital, getting my teeth sorted out. Local dentists have not lived up to their good reputations. Staying with friends makesmit hard to get veg. None at breakfast or supper today. I had a salad out at lunch, but only 2 veg worth. Am getting my 6 servings of grains, and the family have rediscovered wholemeal bread. The loaves I brought home kept disappearing, which was fine, as it was my contribution, not my property. But now they have stared buying wholemeal bread, so we had a glut this morming! I have put on a kilo over the last 2 weeks. Hope to getit off for mostmof the aviation day challenge! Cardiomshould help. But when at home I dont walk so much. Heremits the quickest way around town, and longish walks to bus stops.

Hi All, I walked the dogs twice. I took Mom out to the grocery and pharmacy. It is hot and humid. The weather man said it would rain this afternoon. Best wishes for a great day. Linda from bean town

Yesterday I brought two girl cousins home for a week of country visiting. First thing they wanted to do was go swimming - which always starts out with a canoe ride. After playing in the water we came back and had a dinner of fresh corn on the cob, bright salad, spiced shrimp and grilled cheese on toast.

Nice catching up on everyone's weekend activities. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend, and now I'm finding it hard to get into Monday. Just heard someone bring up a project I worked several years ago, one I thought had been finalized and put to bed. Now someone has questions, and I'm the only one left who has any corporate knowledge of the data and methodology. It was a project I hated and hoped never to see again. Sigh.

Good morning friends! I had a WONDERFUL weekend with my family. I so appreciate every time we are together and treasure it greatly. You never know when things might change, so I treasure my family time.
Still losing after adding extra calories. Not much, just a half pound or a pound but creeping down again. Today I weighed in at 122.4. I think stopping at 125-130 is where I want to maintain. I am getting the skinny comments and love it, but think this is enough--I don't want to encourage anorexic comments. I am eating about 1400 calories now with moderate activity (I don't go to the gym but stay active otherwise) so I will try to add another 100 calories to my daily tally--at least for the summer (more active) months.
Have a great week everyone!
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

Good morning team! Happy Monday - hoping this week is a little smoother schedule wise than last week, but the good news is that weight held steady and even dropped a little and I am within goal range and almost at center of range. Hoping to make it and stay there this week. Got an early morning start with the walk/run program at our local homeless center and then got some grocery shopping done - simmering some chicken breast to put into a pasta salad that I will use for a spring board for various salads and meals this week and then off to work this afternoon for a 12-9. If I can eek out a couple more chores, then I'll even be able to afford myself some free time tomorrow for my day off, so I'm gonna close and get moving!

A really good day - 1403 calories, 9300 or so steps - this is right where I lose best.
Now if I could just do this every day, I'd be fine!

Good morning team!!
I'll spare you the long version, but I've been out of town. 3 road trips (one of them 2100 miles round trip!) in 2 weeks. I'm so ready to get back to a routine. The girls are out of school so I always find myself staying up later and sleeping later. I'm way behind on my 1000 minutes of exercise for the month. Not exercising regularly and food/beverage splurges have my weight up 5 lbs!! Will get that in check quickly before it turns into any more.
I have a doctor's appointment this morning and then will head to the office to tackle the humongous pile of work that I'm sure has accumulated. Everyone have a great day!

Hey there sparkers! I'm trying to get back in the groove today. Still recovering from the warrior dash on Saturday. Yesterday was rough! I just lounged and could NOT stop eating.
I did manage to pull myself off the couch to spend some time with my dad and took the dog for two walks.
I need to catch up on everyone's posts from yesterday.

Good morning. Thinking of you and your husband, Nancy, as his job search continues. And congratulations, Maree. Two years since you reached your goal--that is so awesome. I'm so glad we get to share your journey with it most days here (-:
We celebrated Father's Day with our daughter and two grand children yesterday. They live close by and we were able to hang out at our lake house all day. So fun and relaxing. Meanwhile my DH took calls from our 3 other "kids" who are scattered around the country. So glad he is recognized as the fine father he is!
Not my best or worst Spark day, but clearly back at it today. Looking forward to the new day and week.

Hope your dogs and granddaughter are better. My little furbaby gets pancreatitis easily. Not fun and potentially dangerous, so I watch her eating like a hawk!
We had a good weekend. Went to a funeral on Saturday for a dear sister in Christ, who died at 89 years of age. Bittersweet - we miss her, but know she's rejoicing in heaven!
Going to try for an early morning run, then hubby is going for some coaching on job searching. His old company is providing it for him and all the people they let go. On a good note, he has 2 interviews this week. One is for a job in Atlanta....we live in Michigan, so it would be a change for sure. But if offered, he'll take it. The other requires a lot of travel, but he'd be able to remain here. Praying for God's guidance as I'm not sure what would be best. But hoping something breaks for us - it's been 2 months.
Looks like rain this afternoon. I'll garden this morning and work on some ironing this afternoon.

Good morning! Monday, Monday,...can't trust that day....
I'm headed to the gym this morning for my 90 min workout: 30 min running, 60 min ST class. My plan is to increase my weights in all ST classes, especially leg exercises.
What a weekend! On the bright side, I celebrated my 2 yr anniversary of reaching weight loss goal on Saturday and appreciate all the encouraging comments and Sparkgoodies, had a great time with DH, DD and DGD running Saturday morning, doing a little shopping, swimming at the pool, sharing fitness ideas and stories, and hanging out on the dock with good friends, singing along with a guitar playing friend. On the not-so-bright side, I was up at 2 am Saturday morning with sick dogs and at 3 am Sunday with sick granddaughter. I'm sure the dogs' ailment was caused by bad water (Marina had shut it off due to high water, and should have issued a "boil order" warning). I'm not sure what gave DGD a tummy ache, as we bring drinking water from home and she is fine . We cooked burger and rice for dogs and lots of potty walks--poor things.
I guess I'm in a 2 am habit now; I hope I can get back to sleeping 7 or 8 hrs.
Hope you all have a great day!!
