I thought it seemed a bit quiet on this thread. I'm checking in late, too. We spent the weekend at a beautiful inn and spa in Virginia's horse country, so I'm just getting caught up.

Hi All, I took Mom out to Boston Market for chicken. I am thankful she is eating. I walked the doggie twice so far. My Dad past away in 2002 from lung cancer and now my Mom has Alzheimer's. I miss my Dad he was a carpenter and fixed things around the house. I have lost two wonderful Aunts and a pastor this year. Life is very hard for me right now but I am sure it will be better tomorrow. Have a great day. Linda from bean town

Glad I'm not the only one running behind today! ;) I already did my Taebo this morning and ate a healthy breakfast. I'm trying a new recipe tonight - quinoa-black bean burgers. They sound delicious!
I found out this morning when wishing my dad a happy Father's Day that he will be visiting me in a couple of days. We live across the country from each other and haven't seen each other in some time, so it is definitely welcome news, and timely!
Have a great day everyone!
Maree, what would we do without you! Posting late myself and realized that I would totally forget somedays if it weren't for you leading the way!
Happy Father's Days to all the dads out there and to all those who are physically far away from their Fathers's but are keeping them close in their hearts.

I am starting this link, a little late and I noticed some have posted to yesterday's link.
Happy father's day to all those great dads and grandpas, uncles and a special shout-out to those men who mentor and step in for others who can't or won't do the job! My dad died when I was two years old, and I never knew what I had missed until I was18 yrs old and took a job at the office (the same one in which I still work and am now part owner), and the senior partner and his wife (who was his secretary) took me under their wings, encouraged me to do things I would never have attempted (college education, professional career, etc.) and helped me to become the woman I am today. They have both passed on, but never a Father's Day goes by that I do not remember him.
Hope everyone has a great Sunday! Peace and love...
