Teleworking today. Was expecting more from the first line of storms, but they fizzled. Will see what the afternoon brings. I've been trying to run-walk on the treadmill, and this is a day for it. The atmosphere is like hot soup outside.

Just a quick check in before I take my sis in for her procedure, then race off to work. Weight is at middle of goal range again - YEAH! I had gotten there briefly last month for 2-3 days and then it crept back up a couple of pounds. Hoping to keep it here and below for the rest of the month.....ha, good luck on that one! Need to get moving more - as always, but going through another schedule upheaval at work - going to take some more adjustment. Just part of the maintenance learning experience I suppose.

Another quick check-in this morning! I did a tough new HIIT routine and had to improvise with breakfast a little bit when I found out what I was planning to eat had spoiled, but I've got everything in my tracker now and did fine. I think I am getting better at estimating that for myself without the tracker - woo! Have a good Thursday!
Bess, what a great celebration! Nancy, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for your husban's job search.
Very lazy evening last night. Storms big time! I let TOM get the best of me, lounged with DH, had a big bowl of popcorn while watching the Hawks game (WHOOHOOO, triple overtime! sorry to everyone in Boston!)
This morning driving to work, out of nowhere, I had a HUGE craving for a pulled pork sandwhich and french fries. I mean a SERIOUS CRAVING, at 6:15am. What is that?! At the next red light, I saw a woman jog past my car, a good song was on the radio and POOF craving gone!
Still deciding on what light workout I will do tonight. Warrior Dash in 2 days!
Hello my friends. Yesterday was the 38th anniversary of the day Himself and I set up ...um ... TENT ... in the forest. Truth. We moved down from the big city to live in a Little House in the Big Woods. We camped in the old army Pup Tent my F-I-L carried when he landed on Normandy Beach on D-Day. It smelled of linseed oil. We lived in it for 2 damp months while it rained 40 days and 40 nights. I learned how to prepare meals on a campfire - bake in a dutch oven - starve as the daily storms put out the campfire. He walked down the path to the house site where he built a little cabin for us, using hand tools. What a summer. Something you could only ever do if you were 22 years old.
Every year we celebrate that day. Sometimes we actually set up the old tent and sleep in it - though - not now that I have such creaky bones. Last night, instead, we had a picnic on the sailboat, anchored out in the bay in front of the house. We left the dogs in the canoe because we were having (high calorie) fried chicken. We sat in the stillness of the evening watching the ring of green trees and their green reflection in the water, listening to the peepers and croakers, and talked about those long ago years and that cute couple who did their own thing.
Yes I way exceeded the daily count but it was planned for - it will fit in the weekly total. And there was something so nourishing about reminiscing that way.
Today? Step aerobics at home - before it gets too hot.
Good morning. I had toning zumba last night. This morning I did an exercise bike and have zumba later tonight. I have packed my healthy snacks. I am thinking of getting a real bike, so I can go riding with my DH. Although with all the rain this spring I probably would get more time indoors.
Good morning! Today my 90 min workout is a short run and then a long walk with my fitness buddy. Cool breezes have rolled in leaving hot humid weather behind. DH and I walked 40 min after dinner last night to help him relieve soreness. He's doing better.
Xraylady I bought foam roller at Scheels a sporting goods store $30 for the harder black foam. Love it.
