Got a late start today - woke with a headache and had to take some Excedrine extra strength and go back to bed. The extra rest was nice, but leaves me with no time to get stuff done. May have to blow off the speed workout and just do a run tomorrow morning before work and some core work in between chores today. Finaaly seeing the scale heading back down after the carb loading from the weekend. It was great to PR both races, but don't know if it was worth the gain (however temporary).

Happy Birthday, Toni! No vet visits this morning, but I do want to wash out the litter boxes so they're as clean as can be before we leave. Today is packing day and then a sail in the afternoon. I'm thinking about getting a manicure, even though my nails are really short. I have a pedicure booked on the cruise. I'm still trying to figure out how to use up the perishable food before we go. Tonight's dinner might be interesting! Went out to lunch with my mom yesterday and went over a bit on calories. I'm really hoping that activity will balance indulgence on the cruise, but from past experience I'm expecting a gain. Oh well, austerity begins when we get back!
We're almost there - it's almost the weekend. Have the day off tomorrow so I am planning on a list of cleaning and house chores I need to do so I will get Saturday and Sunday to myself. Is it 5 PM yet? Nope, only 9AM.
I made banana bread this morning. I had one slice for breakfast and a glass of skim milk. I washed and dressed Mom and now waiting for my brother to come. I need to walk the dogs. It is sunny and warm. Best wishes for a wonderful day. Linda from bean town
I got my run in last night. We didn't go on the group motorcycle ride because DH is sick. I saw on Facebook that my daughter tagged me in a post about National running day, about how proud of me she was that I've improved my running. Brought a tear to my eye.
I ran three miles, walked the dog, then did some ab work last night. Need to get back on track nutritionally!
Awesome your hubby join the gym. My hubby join went about four tkmes and tthat's it. He went to water aerobics a couple of times. But he do walk. I wish I could push him back into the gym. Hope you and your family have a nice few days together. Enjoy.

Yesterday I stopped by the new Ice Cream shop in our little town. It's very cute and pretty and ... of course ... sugary. Had a half cup of pretty high calorie ice cream (which I dutifully tracked) and tasted the fudge. Bought a little too, but that was for my staff, some of whom had not yet been to the shop. Now I can say Been There, Done That. I won't be stopping in again soon unless I have a kid in tow - and it's her birthday.
But it was also interesting to see that I could look and even sample but not go hog wild - and not 'forget' to admit to on my tracker. Could it be true? am I different inside as well as outside?
Strength training for me in 2 hours. Life is good.

Good morning! It is my birthday today and it feels good to know I am healthy and fitter than I was a year ago. I appreciate the gift of this team's support that keeps me focused and aware and motivated. No wayward pounds need find their way to my hips either!!

I always eat heartily but a few pounds had craftily sneaked on. So it was back to basics a week of noting all I ate drank or did. I was 2 pounds lighter today , I am happy with that. I am not going to undo all my hard work losing the pounds. I will each out for the sneaky pounds now looking for a home! Not on my hips!,, Ree

DD and Granddaughter came to town last night for a few days. So it's going to be busy around here. Unfortunately, I can't just take off work to hang out, but we'll see. Maybe can get out early.
Yesterday was good. I could really feel my body running out of fuel during RIPPED class. Tracking nutrition makes a difference! I tracked it all again yesterday - a 2 day streak. Pizza was served at my luncheon seminar but I slowly ate just one piece and mindfully adjusted the rest of the day. Haven't weighed yet-expect the salt to show up.
DH joined my gym with a 2 yr commitment. I hope he likes it--meets with a trainer tomorrow for initial weigh in, program development, etc.
I'm scheduled to walk about 5 mi with fitness buddy this a.m. but will get a 30 min run in before I meet her. I'd like to run with DD, but with the babe, I don't know when she will be able to go. I'd rather get two runs in than none, so I've learned to do my own thing first thing in the morning--I can always do more if it works out.
