Sedentary day, only 3000 steps, but did half an hour in garden. Energy returning gradually. Weight seems to be creeping up (100 grams after being stable for weeks) and waist and hip measurements up 1/.2 inch. Shall continue to watch it. Going away tomorrow for a few days. Dentist in Tirana, possibly meet a visiting friend elsewhere over weekend. I shall be less in control of what I eat, like no way can I get in 5 portions of veg. But I should be able to walk a lot, which should help. Yoga continues to feel good. And it's time I got down to evening yoga and bed!

Couldn't workout today because my left knee slipped from under me yesterday. So you know what that mean down for a few days. But I did do some chair exercise that they had this morning. So I did do a little.
I'm now on vacation for the next 2 1/2 weeks! We don't leave on our cruise until Friday, so I have a few days to do things around here. First off, taking the 21 lb. tabby to the vet for his annual. He doesn't like car rides, so he peed on the way there (which the vet tech cleaned up) and then pooped on the way home...which I got to clean up. Did I mention he weighs 21 lbs? At least he was so happy to be home that he didn't object to me flipping him over and wiping him down with a wet towel. But yuck! Once I recover from that, I'm going out to lunch with Mom and a friend and doing some last minute shopping before I start getting down to the business of packing. I really hoped my weight would be lower before our cruise, but now I'm just hoping that being at a bit higher weight will mean I can stay stable instead of gaining. We shall see!

Working on my own streak of walking. With the weather warming up, my workday strategy is to arrive early and take my "lunch" break right away, getting in a decent walk before the heat builds. Walked 3.8 miles this morning.

Did not get around to tennis yesterday (husband was in a mood). So between this and that I did not exercise. Feel pretty bad about that, but today I decided to turn that to my advantage. Yesterday will be my rest day but I will exercise the rest of the week. Happy Wednesday! Two more days until the weekend!

Happy Wednesday everyone! So far, I'm doing a pretty good job of following my program this week. I've been getting in all my workouts, and I've done decent with all my nutritional goals (although I shortchanged myself a little on Monday). This morning I'm doing some ST with Coach Nicole and in the evening going to the gym for some cardio, and I have some good meals and snacks planned out for the day.
Ouch, Maree - so sorry for your husband and his footballer knees.
Weigh-in was yesterday and I was right at goal. Happy day. Especially coming off a week's vacation in close proximity to my refrigerator! LOL
Only did some cardio yesterday. I wanted to get home early last night so I could make strawberry/lavender jam. I only have a little lavender and it was exactly ripe and time to make the jam or miss it for another year. I put it in little 4 oz jars so I can give it away for Christmas. It's a special flavor combo - makes something that's neither lavender nor strawberry but that IS delicious!

I committed to a group motorcycle ride tonight before I knew it was National Running Day. I'd rather run tonight but I haven't ridden much this year because of the weather. I need more motorcycle time before our 8-day trip around the Great Lakes which includes an overnight in Niagra Falls on the Canadian side.
Good morning! I woke up way too early - only 5.5 hrs of sleep. Sigh.
The BowFlex is assembled, but it didn't come with an instruction book, and we've been unable to locate one, so we have to wait for our friend who has one to provide instruction. DH's knees are killing him. :(( I'm sure he did too much too soon, plus old football injuries, etc. So he is considering joining my gym so he can use the elliptical as well as the ST options. :)) He still wants to run, but needs some alternatives until his knees are rested (hope there's no permanent damage).
Yesterday the scale was back at my goal weight--finally! I tracked all nutrition and stopped eating when my calorie count reached the limit. Breathtaking concept, huh!? Duh. What made me think I was immune from weight gain and could go back to eating too many evening snacks--just because they were healthier choices doesn't mean they don't add up. I like Anja's mindset--although weight loss is a journey, maintaining is like moving to a new home--you can't go back to the old home. I like this new, leaner, lighter home better; I want to stay here more, with less visits to the old home.
Headed to gym for 30 min cardio and 60 min RIPPED class. Yesterday's cycle fit class kicked! Amazing instructor! Just had her 3d baby 4 weeks ago!
