Congrats XRAYLADY65 You did it!!! Hope it feels good! I did another Vinyassa Flow session today because my spin and yoga combo class was cancelled. I am amazed at how much stronger I am getting, how much more stamina I have and how much I love it. I am keeping up (for the most part) with the 30 year olds which is a very good sign for this 60 year old! The weather is starting to get nice again after weeks of rain and cloud...just when we planned another boat trip. It is perfect! My challenge will be to make sure I find good moorage so I can get out and walk and move! How privileged I feel to see that as my challenge! I love my work life now that allows me to work like crazy and then take off for a bit. What a gift! Enjoy your kale chips, Pam. I have a friend who makes them and they are definitely delicious!!

No formal exercise today, but was on my feet most of the day. I spread mulch and pulled weeds along with general house and yard work. After supper we put up kale for the freezer. No shortage on greens this winter--actually we still have some left from last year. Saved some leaves and going to try my hand at Kale Chips as soon as I take a break. I also want to roll out some homemade crackers to bake while the oven is on. The oven will help warm up the house on this cool evening too.
Weigh-in today 124.5. Not bad after 2 food filled days this past weekend (Fri.+ Sat.). Not resting on my laurels, I've been back on the high road yesterday and today.
I just love being thin . . . why didn't I get a handle on this years ago??? (No answer required).
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

I ran 8.05 miles yesterday and bettered my time by 4 minutes. Today my knee is sore and feels like I may have "twisted" it. The outside of it is really sore when I walk downstairs or get up after sitting for a bit.
I'm taking a rest day, though I did walk 45 minutes today. I have a 4 mile fundraiser run on Saturday that I'm NOT going to miss. I get to meet a SparkFriend at the race!
19 Days until: Omaha 1/2 Marathon.

Stayed up too late, but still woke before the alarm. Went to see my family doctor this morning about an ongoing issue...let's just say that a recent increase in symptoms would make the 9+ hours on the plane even more uncomfortable than usual. I'm still waiting to hear back after a lab test. He also wanted to consult a specialist. I'm not expecting to be cured by Friday, I just want to know how to keep myself as comfortable as possible in Economy Class!

I couldn't fall asleep yesterday night in time, I was just turning in my bed. This morning, I felt exhausted. Finally, in the afternoon, I could have a short nap, and now I feel better. I'm very low on productivity today, so I go for an easy bike ride. I pay attention not to force myself, to avoid injury.

Bess, I think a day of total relaxation is VERY healthy!
Sounds like everyone is doing well. After the Saturday feeding frenzy, I did better yesterday but still went over, I'm sure. On the plus side, I hiked both days, with the Sunday hike (blog) being quite strenuous on rugged, hilly trail.
Hey all! Wow, everyone is doing great! Maree, I'm with ya, waiting for the coffee to kick in here. Bess, excellent day yesterday. Those kinds of days are SO necessary!
I was riding a motorcyle all day yesterday in the cold, dreary Chicago area weather. Toni, I hope you are enjoying yourself here. I think today should be at least sunny and slightly warmer than yesterday, a good day for walking.
I had a good day at the 5K Saturday and spent quality time with my daughter.
Now onward with the Monday! Big energy vibes going out to all today!
Morning everyone! I had an *amazing* day yesterday where I got lots of play AND work done, and plenty of sleep to boot. This morning I feel great and really motivated! Pretty weird for a Monday, but I'll take it. =) Time to do some ST! Have a great day all!
For the first time I can remember I had a day where I got zero exercise in - not even house cleaning exercise. It was the last day of my vacation. I wanted to finish a mystery novel. It was hot. Biting Mayflies (I know, really deer flies) swarmed the yard. whine whine whine.
And yet - I still count yesterday as a "healthy" day, not only because I ate only high value, low calorie food - including protein, but because I truly allowed myself to relax and unwind with no Things To Do List fluttering in my consciousness. Or my SUBconsciousness either. It was just a kick back relax day. slept like a baby. I'm energized and ready to go back to werk.
