The heat is a problem here. It's too hot to be walking outside which I love to do. So I go in the gym and workout there.

Great day, well actually a pretty great week. Staying with my daughter tonight -- celebrating her birthday and planning her wedding in Sept. We had a big dinner and she talked me in to going to the gym with her as a guest -- my first time -- I am no longer a gym virgin. This is good!






Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

CW: WAS 124.7 NOW: 143.5

Heat is not a problem here where the clouds have been making spring burst forth in all its bounty. Need to be sure to carry my raincoat on my walks and glad to have created the rain cover for my pack too! Makes it possible for me to go from one work project to another with files in hand and not worry about getting them wet!
Did a great Vinyassa Flow Yoga Class today and feel like I am getting much stronger!! Woohoo

I have a three day weekend before I start teaching summer school. I slept in until I woke up on my own. I went for a run that was a little over 4 miles and spent time with my oldest. Ran errands with the hubby and treated myself to coffee lovers ice cream at Cold Stone.

It was a beautiful day without any storms!!!

It is very hot here in the 90s. I have walked two dogs today and I have taken them on short walks around the block. It is very muggy here with a slight breeze. I have walked an hour already. Linda from bean town

It was 81 degrees and I walked around the track and then went into gym. Did 3 miles around the track in the heat. Then went in the gym got on the treadmill and bike and did some weigh lift.

Another day, another coworker off. Celia, the smell of popcorn is so powerful that it is banned in my workplace on the grounds that it might be hard on patients who are fasting. Nancy, Mackinac Island is on my list of places I want to visit. It looks so beautiful! I'm glad you don't have to skip the trip entirely. I think it will be good for your family morale. Looking forward to the weekend. No alarm clock!

Good Morning team

My weight is still down, so I'm adding more fat calories in. I bought a good vega oil 3-6-9 blend yesterday and am trying that out. More carbs too in the form of brown rice and organic potatoes.. this should do the trick.

I had a really good massage yesterday, she worked out a lot of muscle knots and I'm going to go again next week to see if I can get this fibro flare to settle down.

Glad to see everyone is doing quite well with eating and exercise.. we are off for a beach walk this am..

Happy last day of the month and it is Friday too!
Glad to be enjoying Spring in Indiana.
Rainy today, but it is spring! Going to visit my daughter today in Indy. Tomorrow is her birthday.
I have been reflecting on 36 years of Motherhood.

Maree, like your DH, I am seriously tempted by the lunch smells, but the worst is the mid-afternoon microwave popcorn! I feel like one of those cartoon characters floating along the scent trail.

Bess, you handle the heat better than I do. Ugh!

Love hearing how people are working on consistency. This week I completed my personal decluttering 21-day challenge to make sure the breakfast nook table was clean before I went to bed (added my nightstand along the way). Time to add another surface, clean it off, and start a new challenge. On my personal habits, I'm racking up the gold stars on my calendar of goals for staying within my calorie range, limiting alcohol, and getting more sleep (goal is 6 hours per night minimum).

I'm doing well with my third day of tracking religiously, I'm going to increase my calories for he weeekend and see how I feel, I've been feeling low on energy and wondering if I need a few more cals to keep me going. Enjoying summer salads and the veg patch is threatening to provide enough healthy treats to indulge in soon. Have a great weekend everyone :-)

Nancy where in Michigan are you from.... I am from Cadillac....

My boss called me already this morning... afternoon tech called in... I am working 11-11 instread of 9-9 so no running for me after work tonight i might try and get a dvd in this morning

I finally broke the 145 mark,.... down to 144 lets hope this keeps in that direction so I can get back to goal weight of 141

Happy Friday! I realized when I woke up this morning there will be no downtime this weekend. I will back at work Monday in the blink of an eye BUT I turned that thought process off and told myself IT'S FRIDAY!

Tonight is dinner out with co-workers, 5K in the morning then picking up DD at the train to go visit my parents, then tidy up the house (Thank you Flylady team for helping me keep the house decent the last two weeks) in preparation for people coming back to our house after a group motorcycle ride Sunday.

So let's lock arms and ROCK this weekend!

Yesterday turned out different from what I had planned - we spent the entire day on hot car lots, test driving hot cars in a hot city. Gives new meaning to being Hot Hot Hot. I am SO glad I had my strength training lesson first thing in the day. I sure didn't feel like doing anything when I got home except pouring myself a glass of wine. ALSO - since a session with the W the personal trainer usually leaves me mellow for the rest of the day (another word for too wiped out to care) I was able to stay calm, even tempered and even thoughtful, even if I was also sort of limp, as we delved deeper into the mystic rites of New Car Buying. Honestly, and forgive me, any men reading this, but car buying is SUCH a guy thing.

Worst thing about the day was the fast food eating - even my best efforts left me over the caloric limits of the day - but I'm still good for the week and that's what really counts.

Last Friday of my Vacation week - wishing everyone that Friday Feeling.

I had a busy, productive day yesterday. Today should be just as busy.

Hubby has decided to go camping next week, unless a job prospect comes up. He's been off work for six weeks now and feels like he needs to get away. We go to Mackinac Island every June for the Lilac festival. We plan on making it a shorter, more frugal trip this year. So, I have lots to do to get ready for that.

We're going this a.m. to get our oil changed, then home for some cleaning. I'll probably do a dvd for cardio since it's stormy out.

We got 14 rows planted in our garden yesterday. I'm sore and achy, but love feeling so accomplished. I'm hoping we can get the winter squash in today and then we're finished.

Good morning on this last day of May!

I love these long days-- yesterday I ran 2.8 mi in 28:54 by the light of the moon and well lit street lights and finished our long walk in bright sunshine at 6:30 am. It felt like noon! Lol. Good nutrition day but need to finish tracking dinner. Today scale is down. Yaaay!

DH ran by himself and texted me that his co-worker's Taco Gringo lunch smelled SO good (while he ate his low cal healthy sack lunch). I said welcome to my world and nothing tastes as good as healthy feels (basically) and he agreed. :))

Headed to gym for 30 min cardio 60 min RIPPED class. Way too much work to do at the office (ugh), but headed over the river and past the woods to granddaughter's house we go! Mississippi River too flooded to go to houseboat.
