It's been a while since checking in. Glad to see some new members too! Wish I could remember all the posts I've just read that I would like to comment on, but my memory isn't that good so I'll just say hello team and so glad you are all staying in the game.

I am sticking to the 'program' but had a 'loose' food weekend. The last three days have been healthy and within my limits--no gaining. It's been busy with work, garden/yard, and family activities---including lots of walking, putting up hay and housework and some (minimal) weight lifting.

Two birthdays coming up this weekend--thankfully we are celebrating them together and planning our traditional strawberry shortcake -- actually, it is easy to skinny up--sugar free angel food cake and lite cool whip instead of ice cream. Not exactly clean eating as I do capitalize on the artificial sweeteners, but consider it the lesser of two evils--at least for me.
Maybe someday, I will be able to go all natural on the sweet fixes--I am working on it.

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

I'm here! emoticon One coworker in late and one out sick made for a busy day, then home to more work! I'm trying to get things in shape and get produce used up before we leave for vacation in a week. I made black bean, sweet potato, quinoa chili for dinner and lunches. So much to do, I'm starting to look forward to a long plane ride with nothing to do but sit and read! I'd hoped to get my weight down below 115 before we left, since I expect the cruise to add a few pounds, but I don't think that's going to happen. I'm thinking that relaxing and enjoying a bit is worth a bit of weight as long as I don't let it get out of hand. Back to housework!

Just signed up for SP today and I'm really excited to find a group of other maintainers emoticon

Today was a so so day-it's very hectic over here right now, as we put an offer in on a house on Sunday, and are now in super clean/declutter mode right now to get our house ready to go on the market-if our offer is rejected at least my house will be uber clean lol. Because of this I didn't follow my normal eating format and did more grazing/snacking. Do animal crackers count as lunch emoticon

Wrapping up the day with strength training and a short, one mile walk!

Good Morning Team! I was up bright and early this morning. I got up at 5:15 and went to a boot camp that started at 6am. It was my first experience with anything quite like that. Felt good to get moving so early in the morning. I will be a bit active today. I just need to keep moving! Have a great day staying on track everyone!

Good Morning Team! I am grateful for you all on this team - finding that I am getting back in the groove and am feeling more "normal" after reading the other posts this morning. Previously, I would have spent days feeling defeated and slipped further back before getting it togethter. Instead, I had a good day nutritionally - a little on the light side, but after the over indulgences and lack of structured exercise over the long "weekend", I needed a little cutting back. Over the course of the past 10 days, I've seen my weight go all over the place. I've been everywhere from .5 pounds below the center of my weight range (=/- 5% of goal) to 1.5 lbs over range and back to .8 over center of range this morning - and about every point in between. Seems simple carbs and sugars will really bloat me out. Hoping that a couple days of clean eating and more regular fitness and I will see those numbers back under midrange. Progress is slow, but I spent April and the Months prior over goal range and spent May working my way down through my range to midpoint and hope to end the month there.

Here's to June and getting down to the lower end of the range!

So good to have support for getting back on track. I posted about my very visible goal calendar on the backsliding thread, so I won't repeat here.

It's supposed to be quite hot here today, so I came in early, fired up the computer, and promptly took my "lunch break" to get my walk in before the heat. Decided to walk one of my routes backward, and it's amazing how strange and unfamiliar things seem from a different angle. I'm also still battling this draggy feeling, and even though I met my sleep goal last night, I'm having trouble staying awake today. In addition, I sweated so much last night that I dreamed repeatedly of swimming. Not sure what's going on, but I hope it resolves itself soon.

Good morning team. Good luck to everyone in getting back on track. I was doing really well yesterday until I tried to stay up to work on my computer, and got the munchies. I should have gone to be, I was just nibbling because I was tired, so I went over. Boo to me. I am determined not to repeat today.

Exercise bike this morning, zumba tonight.

Hey all! Looks like everybody had a good day yesterday getting back on track. Let's keep the momentum going!

I walked the dog last night before the storms hit then jumped on the elliptical, then the 9 min seated upper body video on SP.

I'm going to take it easy the next couple days in preparation for the 5K I registered for this Saturday. Hopefully the rain will hold off for that hour!

Walking breaks at work today, goign to visit mom and dad tonight. GO BLACKHAWKS!

My sympathies on the car shopping. My DH and I can't come to a decision on a car either. So we end in stalemate and we end up keeping the same ones.

I'm digging into the DVD pile. We're in for wet weather and I'm wanting something "new." My DD watched me work through the first one yesterday (getting reacquainted). She said I looked like I'm trying to squish myself! LOL.

Thanks for understanding, Toni - I'm glad it's not just me. I have been telling my husband for maybe 12 years that I want a Subaru Forester. He must have asked me 9 times yesterday "Well, what kind of car do you want?" Should I take that as a hint that he does NOT want a Subaru Forester? Maree, Sandy - hope those 3 lbs melt away like frost in October. Nancy - enjoy your empty house. I love to get back to routine. Zenith - I'm glad you're feeling better.

I too Got Back On Track yesterday. Calories spot on - though I had to ask myself several times "Is it worth it?" I did make it to the gym and I did get in the first river swim of the season. Just ask me how cold it was. Our little pup was thrilled to have company in the water but she couldn't figure out why we weren't fetching sticks. She even brought one from the riverbank so we could fetch it home. LOL. Jack, the dignified old dog did not get in the water. He does not DO swimming. He is a dry labrador retriever.

Today we're heading to the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Haven't been there in 20+ years. I WILL remember to take my camera. Happy Hump Day!

Good morning, team. We all seem to be in a frenzy of getting back on track. At least that's my take on our thread. Good for us!

I send my sympathies to Bess who is car shopping with her husband. I swear the pain of that process is the reason it takes us FOREVER to buy a new car. I did get a very sweet new car last fall but when the dealer closed the deal he reminded me he'd been talking to us for 4 years... Sad. And I did not go with my husband when he bargained. He said I too often (often? who buys a car OFTEN?) just point and say I want that one. Apparently not the right attitude for a car bargaining process.

Have a fun day everyone. Heading out on a car trip with my exercise gear packed and my fitbit in place. emoticon

I too am looking to lose my last 3 "vanity" pounds...I prefer to call them "my safety zone" though!

Hey, my body made some amazing changes in May...no reason they can't continue if I continue doing the right thing(s)!

Cheers,
Sandi

Good Morning,

The last of my company is leaving today. I'm sad to have my daughters and their families return home, but happy to get into a routine of sorts. My exercise hasn't been what it usually is and I haven't tracked my food well. The scales of course are showing my lack of attention:(

Back on track today. Going on a run this a.m. with my hubby and doing a Bob Harper dvd as well. I'm working on making out my plans for meals for the rest of the week - lots of good lean proteins, whole grains and fruits and veggies.

I'm hoping to get back to 110 by July 4th!

~Nancy

Good morning. It's 2:30 and I only slept 5.5 hrs.

My Wednesday planned workout is 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. Class starts at 5:30 and DH plans to run while I'm at class and I would really like to go with him but feel I need the ST that I get with RIPPED so I want to be in two places at one time. Any ideas how I can do that? Lol. Probably can in the land of the Car Buying Tree--Bess, would you check?

Nutrition was lean yesterday but still the scale won't give. I think the pounds DH is losing are crawling on to my thighs and affixing themselves. :((. I need to track better and then share it with nutritionist if I can't get these last 3-4 stubborn lbs off. I refuse to forfeit my 4 new pantsuits and comfortable fit of the rest of my wardrobe. I declare war on lbs! ATTACK!!

Hope all have a successful day in meeting your goals!
